Nurses spend their lives caring for others during some of the hardest, most emotional, and most important moments people experience. The dedication, strength, patience, and heart that nurses carry does not go unnoticed.

As both a nurse and tattoo artist, I’m proud to bring a healthcare mindset into the tattoo industry by maintaining strict aseptic practices, prioritizing client safety, and creating a comfortable environment where people feel cared for and respected.

At The Ink Room Tattoo Studio, we believe tattoo safety should go far beyond the minimum standard.

As a Registered Nurse, I’ve brought hospital-level infection prevention and aseptic technique into the tattoo industry because your health and safety matter just as much as your tattoo itself.

Here’s what makes The Ink Room different:

✨ Ink cups are prepped before use
Many people don’t realize disposable ink cups are not sold sterile. At The Ink Room, all ink cups are soaked in 70% alcohol for a minimum of 24 hours, air dried, and then stored in sealed containers prior to use.

✨ Disposable razors are also prepped.
Even disposable razors are disinfected using the same process before coming anywhere near your skin.

✨ Hospital-grade disinfectants
We use CaviWipes — the same type of professional-grade disinfectant commonly used in healthcare settings, including hospitals. These are designed to kill bacteria, viruses, fungi, and bloodborne pathogens far more effectively than standard household cleaning wipes. This is NOT the same as wiping surfaces down with a Lysol wipe.

✨ Surgical-level skin preparation
Before tattooing, the skin is prepped using Chlorhexidine, a medical-grade antiseptic commonly used in operating rooms prior to surgery. It provides broader and longer-lasting antimicrobial protection compared to standard rubbing alcohol alone.

✨ Full room disinfection between EVERY client
After each appointment, the entire tattoo area is disinfected — including chairs, trays, work surfaces, equipment, and even full floor mopping between clients.
