The Salty Marie is Sault Ste.Maries way of celebrating all things trail! Mountain biking and trail running race, kids events, vendors, bike demos, food and drink......what more could you want? Proceeds from the trails fest goes to support the Kinsmen Club of Sault Ste.Marie, The Sault Cycling Club and Sault Ste.Marie Search and Rescue, all organizations that make it possible to ride the trails at Hiawatha.

If you can't make it to packet pick tonight at the downtown plaza you can pick it up BEFORE your race on Saturday morning.
Please remember to get your packet AND your chip at least 30 minutes before your race.

The Salty uses some of the AHC lands. Some info about them:
🌲AHC is a local charitable, not-for-profit land trust dedicated to protecting the natural landscapes of the Algoma Highlands through land conservation, stewardship, and community engagement.
🌲Community-powered conservation: As a charitable, not-for-profit organization, AHC depends on memberships, donations, grants, volunteers, and partnerships to protect land, maintain trails, support research, and keep these incredible places accessible to the public.

Need to switch race distances? All distance changes MUST be submitted by Sunday at 11:59 PM as well.

Include the change of distance in the subject line of the email- in ALL CAPS.

⚠️ No registrations or distance changes will be accepted after Sunday evening, so make sure you get everything sorted before the deadline.

Over the next week, you'll start seeing Salty Marie race signage popping up throughout the trail system as our crew gets everything ready for race weekend.

If you're out enjoying the trails, we'd really appreciate it if you could leave all race markers and signage exactly where they are. They play an important role in helping our racers navigate safely on event day, and replacing missing signs takes valuable time away from final race preparations.
