Hey Soo Folks! I’m not associated with Femfest but I love seeing what they are doing! And I know visceral deep in my bones what it is like trying to start a new arts or culture thing in the Sault. … So…I wanted to give a shout out to these young organizers and I wanted to say to everyone to go out and support this event:

⭐️Do it for the artists, musicians, makers, performers, and organizers brave enough to create something new.
⭐️Do it for me 15 years ago, when I was a young artist trying to make things happen here and hoping people would show up.
⭐️And do it for my three girls. Because one day they’ll inherit whatever cultural community we choose to build today.
Again, totally not involved but I just want to see FemFest be a tremendous success.

Definitely going to try to snag a sweet “exploding b***y star shirt” (that’s my title lol) by the talented Soft goods & mending by: Ham

As a migraine sufferer your perfume and cologne although not bad smells turn into ice picks through my head. If you are attending theatre, dance recitals etc. please consider wearing less or going scent free. I beg you.
