SYNOPSIS:
[FR] Adam a quarante-cinq ans et il est propriétaire d’un chenil. C’est un homme profondément bon et généreux. Via la ligne de soutien technique d’une lampe de luminothérapie dont il vient de faire l’acquisition afin d’améliorer sa santé mentale et de gérer son anxiété, il fait la connaissance de Tina, une femme solaire à la voix douce. À partir de ce moment, tout est bouleversé : des comètes tombent du ciel, des chiens sont libérés, des pneus sont crevés. La terre tremble et les cœurs explosent. Ils sont amoureux.

[ENG] Adam is forty five years old and owns a kennel. He is a deeply kind and generous man. Through the technical support line for a light therapy lamp he has just purchased to improve his mental health and manage his anxiety, he meets Tina, a radiant woman with a soft voice. From that moment on, everything is turned upside down: comets fall from the sky, dogs are set free, tires are punctured. The earth trembles and hearts explode. They are in love.

SYNOPSIS:
[FR] Depuis leur arrivée à Montréal, Fouad et Bassima, qui ont fui la Syrie en guerre, peinent à joindre les deux bouts; sans papier, trouver un emploi relève de l’exploit. Les époux sont dénoncés aux services frontaliers par le propriétaire de leur logement et Fouad est déporté. Bassima se retrouve à la rue. Totalement démunie, mais déterminée à faire revenir son mari, elle accepte à l’insu de celui-ci de devenir mère porteuse pour un couple aisé, en échange d’une importante compensation financière pour obtenir un faux passeport pour son retour.

[ENG] Since arriving in Montreal, Fouad and Bassima, who fled war-torn Syria, have struggled to make ends meet; without papers, finding a job is next to impossible. The couple is reported to border services by their landlord, and Fouad is deported. Bassima finds herself homeless. Completely destitute but determined to bring her husband back, she agrees, without his knowledge, to become a surrogate mother for a wealthy couple in exchange for a large financial compensation to obtain a fake passport for his return.
