Location: Second Act Studios -205A Pacific Ave. **Important: Registered participants only for the class trials from 4-7pm as you need a door code to enter. For the registration from 6-8pm we will be watching the door to let you in. 🙏🏽 
👟 Free Class Trials | 4-7pm (studio #2): Open all levels welcome! Please sign up before 3PM today at defsol.ca/workshops!! We will send a confirmation and door to access the building. All participants must bring a pair of clean indoor running shoes/sneakers- no outdoor footwear allowed in the studio.

4:00-4:45pm Hip Hop | Ages 5-7yrs 5:00-5:45pm Hip Hop | Ages 8-11yrs 6:00-6:45pm Breakin | Ages 10yrs+

🗓️ In Person Registration | 6-8pm (lobby): For anyone wishing to register for the season by cash or cheque. Please note we do not accept debit/credit onsite. Also a great opportunity for any new students to stop by and check out the venue or chat with the director about options for the upcoming season! **Important Notice: we are no longer holding an in person registration on August 31st - this will be the only in person event before our September 1st registration deadline.

Breaking Program coached by BrandZer0!

👟 Build your skills, knowledge and confidence in the foundations of Breaking (toprock, downrock, freezes, intro to power for those ready). Develop your freestyle and individual creativity.

👟 Coached by the super talented Brand Ze Ro (Fall-in Brotherhood/Floor Convicts) who brings over a decade of experience as both a competitor and instructor nationally and internationally!

👟 Additional opportunities available to perform and enter competitions (battle) for those interested!

Class time: Mondays 5:30-6:25pm
Location: Second Act Studios

Full season (Sept- May) - perform as a team May 8 plus opportunities to enter freestyle battles (1v1, 2v2)!

Join me for an evening of quality Grooves! ✌🏽🪩

After my first summer off in over two decades, this is officially the longest I’ve ever gone without dancing!! Just couldn’t wait any longer so I’m offering a mini workshop featuring some of my favorite street styles and grooves! Come through and vibe. 💗

🗓️: TUESDAY, AUGUST 25th

5:30-6:25pm Funk n’ Groove | Ages 12yrs+
6:30-7:25pm House Footwork | Ages 12yrs+
7:30-8:25pm Dancehall Steps | Ages 18yrs+
*Dancehall geared to adults as moves may be spicy.

Level: Open- Some dance experience is recommended but all are welcome to the challenge!

Cost: $20.00 per Individual Class or $60.00 for All Three! Etransfer in advance, Cash at Door.

FREE CLASS TRIALS | AUG 24th!

If you are new to def SOL and considering training with us this season, don’t miss this chance to try a class for FREE! A great opportunity to meet our instructors and learn about our programs before you register!

Classes are geared toward Beginner but all levels welcome! Each group will receive a 45min class plus a chance to chat with the instructor. Come learn some moves and have fun! 🥳

💥 DS CREW AUDITIONS COMING UP!💥

When: Monday, August 17th
6:00-7:00PM DS Juniors (Ages 10-14yrs)
7:00-8:30PM DS Varsity/Co. (Ages 15yrs+) & DS Adult (Ages 18yrs+)

Location: Second Act Studios- 205A Pacific Ave (Studio #2) *Front Door code sent after registering.

For Who? This program is for dancers interested in levelling up their skills and knowledge in Hip Hop and other styles of street dance. Dancers should be prepared to commit to a minimum of 2hours training per week, attend 2-3 spring competitions and our year end showcase in May. DS Crews may also be invited to additional events throughout the season. Past performances for our crews have included WE Day, Harlem Globetrotters, FIBA 3X3, YXE Urban Games, numerous local festivals, corporate events and even opening for TLC!!

Cost: $10.00 - E-Transfer in Advance or Cash only at the door

What to Except? Just show up and learn a fun Hip Hop/Street combo. No solo or preparation required.

To Register: Submit a Performance Class Regiatration Form online at defsol.ca/classes to select the team/classes you are interested in this season. Please indicate in the comments that you plan to audition or email [email protected] to confirm attendance for the audition date and time.

What if you can’t make it? We don’t accept video submissions so please try your best to attend. If you absolutely can’t make it, contact us to make alternate arrangements.🙏🏽

We are taking a mindful ‘pause’ this summer to rest, recharge and come back fresh for the fall! ☀️

This time will also be used to make some important changes to our programming for the upcoming season. It’s the start of an exciting new journey that will improve the quality of your dance experience through content that aligns more deeply with our core values, and commitment to the culture and community. 🙏🏽

We do not have any scheduled classes or camps this summer, however, keep your eye on our socials for pop ups in August!

Our fall class schedule and registration info will be posted on August 1st. If you are interested in dancing with us this season, please take a moment to fill out our online pre-registration form (link in bio) and we will email you all the details once available to secure your spot!

**The director (Amanda) will be ‘Out of Office’ from June 24-July 12th. She will respond to any email/phone messages upon her return.**
