My relationship with wall pieces is a complicated one but when a wall piece is required to submit pieces to the Saskatoon Potters Guild Exhibition with the theme Playful Connections I really played to find out if I could make it work.
I’m thrilled that this piece titled It’s Complicated won the award for Best Overall! Needless to say it further complicates my relationship with wall pieces…that being said I found a way that fits with my way of making and enjoyed the process.
I thoroughly enjoyed hearing comments and her insight into all of the pieces submitted. There are some outstanding pieces in the exhibition and selection would not have been an easy task.
The selected pieces are on display at spring show and sale at St. Joseph’s Hall today and tomorrow I highly encourage everyone to go by to take a look at the amazing works on display and browse the sale tables for some really cool pottery.
