Last weekend was wonderfully full of dance 🥰

We got to share some folkloric dances and live drumming in DesertBeatsBellyDance annual show 💃🏻

And then we had great weather for a raqs sharqi set at the Saskatoon Open Door Society 45th anniversary celebration 🎉 Nothing beats the beautiful backdrop of the Saskatchewan River at the River Landing Amphitheatre 🙌

Just a reminder that our *last session* of classes before summer break begins tonight! You can register in person this week, 15 minutes before class time. We accept etransfer, card or cash for registration payment. ($78.75 per 5-week set of classes) Classes are held at the Elk's Lodge at 508-12th Street East. (Near the Broadway bridge)

Our calendar for this session is:

Wednesdays
6pm: Beginner Choreography (we will be learning a pop song routine, with the option of performing at our end of year student show in June)
7pm: Drumming
8pm: Intermediate Choreography (we will be learning a Classical song routine, with the option of performing at our end of year student show in June)

Thursdays
6pm: Level 1 technique (beginner)
7pm: Level 3 technique
8pm: Troupe practice

Our next set of classes starts May 13 & 14 🗓️

Want to learn a choreography? We have options for beginner and intermediate on Wednesday nights.

There will also be an opportunity to perform (optional) these choreographies at our Student Dance Night at the end of the session 💃🏻

Interested in music? Try our drumming class on Wednesday nights. And if you don’t have a drum we have some that you can borrow/rent 🎶

Want some movement foundations? Join our technique classes on Thursday evenings.

All classes run for 5 weeks and registration fees are $75 + gst

Our next set of classes starts May 13th and 14th 🗓️

This second half of our Spring Session includes our drumming and technique classes. But we’ve also added beginner and intermediate choreography classes 🙌

And at the end of our 5 weeks there is an (optional) performance opportunity at our student dance night where you can perform these choreographies 🎶

Registration fees for any of these 5 week classes is $75 + gst

Aaand the first week of Spring classes are in session 🌸🌷🌹

We have a couple special classes that are only on offer in our spring session:

Move & Flow ➡️ an all-levels class that is 100% follow along! Just show up, be ready to dance, sweat, and move together 😄

•Spring Thing ➡️ an all-levels class that dives into a different topic each week (it’s like 6 mini workshops). Some of the things we’ll be exploring in this session; folklore, rhythms, improv, technique, and combos 💃🏻

If you missed the first week of classes you can still sign up for this session, no worries!

And if your schedule is a bit hard to plan around for 6 weeks you can always do Drop-in options for $25/class. Our Move & Flow and Spring Thing are great options for drop-ins 👍
