Today, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) presented a donation of $50,000 to Wanuskewin Heritage Park in support of its UNESCO Ready Campaign.
Wanuskewin is currently on a journey to become Saskatchewan’s 1st UNESCO World Heritage Site and only the 23rd in Canada – this announcement is projected for the summer of 2026. Wanuskewin must show the adjudication committee that it has strong cultural programming in place that is adequately resourced.
This partnership with SIGA ensures Wanuskewin can continue to develop world class programming with local Indigenous talent.

On Thursday, SIGA and Northern Lights Casino announced a $25,000 donation to the P.A Food Bank.
The donation is part of SIGA’s Community Investments Food Security Strategy, which will see $225,000 in total donated to several food banks and food nutrition programs across the province.
Over the last fiscal year, the Prince Albert Food Bank served 11,416 food hampers, including, summer meal programming, equaling 112,279 meals served to Prince Albert & Area.

SIGA is a proud sponsor of the Todd Gustavson ‘Battle of the Badges’ Memorial Hockey Game next weekend on March 9 in the City of Lloydminster at the Centennial Civic Centre!
The game will see the Lloydminster Fire Department faceoff against the Lloydminster RCMP for a good cause. The event is open for all ages and admission is by cash donation or non-perishable food items.
Food donations will support The Olive Tree and Salvation Army food banks. Monetary donations will go toward youth mentorship programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lloydminster.
