The Lilac Breasted Roller! He’s finally hit our shop! This one that has been in my portfolio since the day I started dyeing yarn and I’ve not gotten to him till now! We’re bringing this one back! I’ve been wanting to this guy back for quite awhile now! 🥰And I know we’re a little late to the party but I’ve been so busy with Advents most everything else has been on the back burner but this little guy is just so beautiful and perfect! 🤩😍
I know you all know I went thru breast cancer again this past winter and this is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I know, like I said “late to the party” and no I am not doing a fundraiser but rather I am bringing the savings to you all!
Life is just hard sometimes and I think we all need a little something special…just for us! 💕

Counting my blessings…one by one! 💕Just thot I’d pop in and let you all know…once again I have received healing! I’ve spent the summer (with family and friends but most adored, 4 sweet treasures - grandkids 😜) healing and recouping from the treatments I had this past winter! I had paused my chemo treatments once I reached the 1/2 way mark, mostly because I physically couldn’t handle them (if any of you have gone thru chemo or watched someone go thru chemo, well you know what I’m saying.) My doctor decided it was a good time to do another scan and Praise The Lord… they couldnt find anything except a slight sign of liver disease. I’ve had another scan this past month and that one too came back 100% clean and clear! So I’ve taken the summer, enjoyed with family and friends and now I’m getting back to the dye pots! The picture attached will give you a sneak peak at; ohhh my hair is growing again - yay 👏😁, the little treasures in my life that bring me sooo much joy 🥰, and the birds that are coming to our shop very shortly 🤩! I’m excited and can’t wait to show you the yarn. (Yes, I love emoji’s 😂💜)

Just hopping on here to let you all know today is the day! Our 2024 12 Days of Christmas themed “A Birds Winter Calm” Yarn Advent is now live! 🥰

After my rough winter with my health I am making it a little easier on myself by only doing a 12 Days of Christmas advent but I assure you it will be AWESOME! 🤩

Preparing advent boxes is a very time and love intensive process but ohh sooo exciting! And I am so excited to get these dyed, packaged and sent out to you all!

Hello Everyone! 😁 I am SUPER excited to show you a sneak peak of our 2024 Yarn Advent which will be available May 31/24

Our theme this year is:
“A Birds Winter Calm”

I don’t know about you all but looking at those pics it almost makes me wish it was winter! ❄️ ☃️ I did say “almost”! 🥶😜

This year’s hand dyed kits will include 12x20g mini skeins plus 1x100g skein plus extra treats! A total of 340g for entire advent in your choice of Fi*****ng SW 100% Merino OR in DK SW 100% Merino.

Advent Sales will start Fri, May 31/24 and close on Mon, Sept 30/24.

I have struggled with posting this but feel Im ready to post now and let you all know why you haven’t seen any much action over here lately! At the beginning of Nov 2023 I was diagnosed with breast cancer once again! 10 years since the first one…10 years since a miracle happened and I was cancer free. Yes, I was miraculously healed of breast cancer in 2014 and because of that miracle I just never thot I’d get breast cancer again…but I did! So….
I started chemo treatments in Dec and that’s pretty much been my life since. I’m thankful for a God that I can turn to for peace, leadership and rest and the confidence of deliverance. While it hasn’t been an instant miracle like 10 years ago, when I get thru this, and I will, I will be just as thankful today as I was 10 years ago. I’ve had great progress and my team of doctors are saying they are amazed at my progress and the results they see, to which I am so very thankful for!
That said, I am not giving up on yarn dyeing, or knitting/crocheting. I’m currently working on another sweater for one of my grandsons, I have 2 blankets going (1 knit & 1 crochet), another sweater for me and some mittens for a son! And you should see the line up of birds for the dye pots - I’m very excited and anxious to get to them! So I am keeping busy. But breast cancer 10 years ago is the reason I got back into yarn again after 20 some years away and it gives me sooo much joy. So I will keep on and if it’s slow for a while here, keep watching, new things are still coming…just a little slower than normal! 🥰 And Thank you! 🙏🏼 Thank you to you all so very much to you all for your support past and present, it is loved and makes me so happy you all love the yarns as I do! 🥰💕
