Artist opportunity! We are stoked to be a part of the first Riversdale Art Walk on Saturday November 22nd, in conjunction with Rockin’ Around Riversdale. We’re one of 18+ participating local galleries, stories and studios celebrating the local creative talent in Riversdale between 4 and 8pm.

If you are a local artist looking for somewhere to exhibit your work during the Art Walk, you can apply to exhibit your work at our Makerspace pop-up gallery. Artists will receive either wall space or plinths, and sign up is free!

Applications close November 7th, so head to our website soon!

🏺 Something new for young makers! We’re stoked to launch our Children’s Handbuilding Pottery Workshops.

👻 Kick things off with our Halloween-themed Handbuilding Pottery Workshop on October 26, where kids can sculpt spooky creations from clay.
Or take a deep dive into clay with our 5-week Handbuilding Pottery Workshop starting November 16.

Children’s classes suitable for 8 to 12 year olds.
All materials provided — just bring your imagination!

Meet Mila Pshebylo. Mixed Media Artist + Artist in Residence. Blending mixed media drawings, sculpture, and ceramics, Mila’s work uses symbols that reflect key moments in her personal history.

During the 5.5 month residency at Makerspace, Mila has focused on creating larger ceramic sculptures and functional ceramics inspired by traditional Métis beadwork and Ukrainian petrykivka painting.

Meet Chantelle Matkowski. Mixed Media Artist + Artist in Residence.

Much of Chantell’s art revolves around visually recreating the feeling of memory and an atmosphere that evokes dreamy nostalgia. Over her 5.5-month residency, she’s found new inspiration, experimented with new techniques, and expanded her artistic practice.
