Holy ship, what have we done!

Welp, after 20 years of enabling all sorts of shenanigans (the laaaaaate night jams, recording, endless editing and mixing sessions, video shoots, podcasts, voiceovers, touring bands, and sonic nerdery), I'm FINALLY able to spill the beanz:

We're expanding GSL into a bigger, badder, radder location at the historic Caswell Bus Barns!

For a couple decades, I have had the incredible privilege to provide creative infrastructure and support for tons of hard working bands, artists, producers, photographers, videographers, and multimedia projects that clock thousands of creative hours annually and contribute to our hungry and vibrant arts community in SK!

HUGE shout out to everyone that has been a part of the
GSL community over all these years and also to this all-star crew for being such innovative collaborators on this project!

Our NS10s are a studio staple. Everything we track and mix runs through these puppies at some point during a project.

They actually don't sound that great to sit back and listen to music on, but they are tools that we can't live without.

Tracking🎤: When tracking through analog gear like our console, you need to know your source is the bomb before recording it. We use these to zoom way in to find buzzy things, squeaky chairs, phase issues and quickly get to the sound we're going for.

Mixing🎚: If the recording isn't great, NS10s will let you know instantly. Harsh upper mids can hide all the way through the project. These help us smooth things out earlier in the process with less processing.

Have you met our in-house COFFEE ENGINEER yet?

Cole Assman (pronounced "Ozzmun" and distantly related to Dick) is an ACTUAL WIZARD when it comes to all things audio. We are lucky to have him around the studio on the regular.

Graduating with honours from The Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon, he never misses a detail when maintaining, using, and choosing the gear for each project. He makes sure every sonic opportunity is used to make your audio sound incredible.👂

He's currently a broadcast audio engineer at CTV Saskatoon and works out of our studios as a freelance audio engineer.

He rolls with companies like PR Productions, Tri Sonic Sound, and can be seen behind the faders as FOH engineer for artists like Brody Siebert, Justin LaBrash Singer/Songwriter, and Brock Andrews.

Book him while you can and he'll make you a great cup of coffee.
