Preston Karlo Fontana (July 14,1991 - June 10, 2024) was an enigmatic character to say the least. His leaps and bounds throughout his life created a wonderful story. His comedy truly represented who he was as a person; which is rare. He was funny inside and out; simply put, Fontana was born for the stage. His singing paralleled his prowess as a comedian, there was no limits for him, only he couldn't see it at times. Perhaps it was this outlook, that drove him to be the talented person he developed into. He was a strong worker, and very dedicated, showing up to open mics as soon as he finished work. Its funny to think back now, Preston would call himself shy, or nervous, but he knew. He knew that he was a charmer, turning every stranger he encountered into one of his many friends. Losing someone so young is hard, but that is the beauty of life; Preston was able to accomplish a so much in such a short time, affecting so many lives in every aspect of his life. Preston Fontana co-created The Comedy Picnic, won First Place at his preliminary round at Calgary FunnyFest's Comedy competition 2023, battled hard in the final, and performed throughout Western Canada.
It was a great pleasure and an honor, being able to call him my friend, we all miss you brother.
