Maybe you’re an artist who’s never quite fit the mold of the auditioning actor. Maybe you’re a stand-up comedian craving something deeper beyond laughs per minute. Or maybe you’re simply bursting with a story and have no idea where to start.
In any case—you belong here.
In this weekend intensive, you’ll learn how to:
Find the idea that actually wants to become your show
Shape it into a clear, compelling structure
Generate original material in your unique voice
Build a process that works for you (and not against you)
Share your work in a supportive, low-pressure environment
This isn’t just theory. It’s a mix of guided exercises, writing time, discussion, and one-on-one coaching—so you leave with real material, not just good intentions.
You can arrive with a fully formed idea, or absolutely nothing at all. All levels of experience are welcome. Truly.
All you need to bring is curiosity, openness, and a desire to communicate something on stage.
(And yes—cue cards, the small ones. But they’re really easy to find, and sometimes I have extra.)
Creative work is one of the most powerful ways to process what’s on your mind, in your heart, and moving through your body - and gatekeepers need not be a part of that.
Your story isn’t too much. It’s not too weird. It’s not too late.
It’s time.

All participants are invited to showcase a snapshot of their work on May 24th at 7 pm at Art Bar. In addition, registration includes guest passes for Megan’s own solo show (May 17th) along with one of her previous class participants solo show (May 22nd)
