“Where the Water Shines”
11x14 Impressionist Waterscape in Oil Pastel

The first picture is inside lighting while the second is direct sunlight

I wanted to capture the peace of the moving, shimmering water and the steady presence of the lighthouse in the distance. I sat in the sand at the cove in Canatara Park, painting as the breeze moved across the water and the sun shone overhead.

I’ll be having this piece framed and it will be featured as one of our studio raffle pieces for First Friday . Follow along on Instagram for updates and raffle information!

Walk With Me”
Oil Pastel on Paper, 9” x 12” framed

I created this piece to capture the bounty of nature when spring arrives- the sense of peace, renewal, and quiet hope for brighter, lighter days ahead.

Peek Luna walking amongst the flowers 🌙

And honestly pressing tiny dots and flicks of pastel into the page is strangely therapeutic. Highly recommend.

Which one has been your favourite so far? 🤍

I originally planned to create just 16 of these pieces, but I’ve been enjoying the process so much that I’m expanding the collection to 50. I’ll also be adding a small “famous paintings” mini-series!

Each piece is completely unique- while I might revisit the same animal, it will always be in a new setting to keep the work fresh and creative.

Thank you for all the support and kind messages! You can view the collection on November 29th at Degroots and December 6th for First Friday at The Gallery, Tin Fiddler 🎄

And for those who voted: I decided to do both. Every piece will include a magnet and a ribbon (with the option to remove the ribbon if you prefer it as a magnet only)
