Seaway Sounds Chorus

Seaway Sounds Chorus Seaway Sounds is a chorus with SingUnited International with dedicated women meeting weekly to sing 4-part a cappella barbershop style.

We are a small international women's chorus harmonizing along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River and entertaining at the popular annual Sarnia Waterfront Program, Art Walk, First Fridays, Behind Closed Doors Charity event at Lambton Mall and in nursing homes in our communities. You want to hear us, see us, and even consider joining us to sing our fun repertoire mix of new

a cappella tunes and classical barbershop standards. Please note that we rehearse and perform in a scent-free environment. Barbershop is 4-part harmony and all about ringing those chords! Here are 2 examples of barbershop lingo:
a) What are tags? A barbershop tag is the ending of the song, which repeats an important phrase with cool chord progressions. Tags are often sung for fun by themselves - it is a form of instant musical gratification. b) What is woodshedding? Woodshedding is the original form of barbershop - figuring out song harmonies by ear, without written arrangements. (Doo-wop singers also often woodshed!).

We played with Kazoos, we learned tags, we drank awesome beer/drinks and ate fantastic food at Two Water Brewing Co. (Corunna), Spill the T sang and of course the chorus did too !!
