Trying my hand at collage.

Using ripped pieces from a magazine I have bought multiple times as gifts. Sacrificing my own copy for art, the way memories help you create something new. (I hope not to offend 🖤)

Beautiful textures and coastal colors shown in the photography of woven fabric, foliage,
and a line that jumped out for me in typeface.

Creating the beginning of the scene that would later emerge through layers of acrylic and oil.

A persistent wind in her hair, weighing a decision. Deep in thought.

Gazing at nothing in the hazy distance, as I often do.

Driving through town today, I saw a young woman wearing a beautiful, peachy coloured, flowy gown, accessorized with headphones and a backpack. I loved it!

And how fitting that I have been painting this dancer with a similar dress!

Meet my doggo, Milo. He’s a gentle giant who enjoys a good zoom in a field, a hike up the mountain, an evening ear rub and lots of naps. He’s a good boy. 🐾

For this one, I played with inks and acrylic paint on paper.

I am officially closing the first chapter of my Art Mastery Program. Looking back at this grid of 36 studies (in random order), I see more than just paint and charcoal; I see a new perspective of light, value, and form.

I’ve been learning the rules so that I may now, with intention, begin to play with them.

Spending hours on the "simple" things—the curve of a pear, the shadow of a crumpled paper—and realizing that nothing is too small to be worthy of deep attention.

Allowing myself the grace to fail at a portrait or get lost in a landscape, knowing that every mistake will lead to my next breakthrough.

Learning that a nurtured artist doesn't burn out; they burn steady. It’s about returning to the easel with love rather than obligation.

I recently turned 50 and as I step into this next phase, the studies will become more personal and exploratory. I am moving into mixed media classes in school and have chosen my first subject- a Raven.

Where do you go when the noise gets too loud?

‘Mountain Path’ isn’t just a mountain landscape; it’s a visual invitation to breathe deeply and keep going. I painted the textures heavily—the jagged rocks, the wild greens—so you can feel yourself making your way through.

Here it is all framed up! See it in person at the for the month of November!

In what room can you imagine this painting living?
