We are very excited to announce that Jake Soberlak Jake Soberlak Music will be joining Steve Marriner & Local Electric on Oct. 22 at Song Sparrow Hall.

After an incredible festival mainstage debut at the 2026 ROOTSandBLUES Festival, we knew we had to have Jake back in the Shuswap, and this concert was the perfect fit! Jake is a talented young blues musician hailing from Kamloops, BC. Jake fell in love with the blues at a young age. He sings, plays guitar, slide guitar, and harmonica. One day you will look back and say, we saw him once in Salmon Arm!

The Salmon Arm ROOTSandBLUES Festival would not be what it is today without the support of our volunteers! Every year, hundreds of people (this year, 768) dedicate their weekend to helping and creating community! It may not always be glamorous, but it sure can be fun!

Community in Concert: A Wildfire Relief Benefit Concert

When: Friday, August 21
Time: 7pm
Location: First Community 450 Okanagan Avenue SE First Community

An evening of music in support of evacuees from the Bradley Creek and Bald Range wildfires. Proceeds will go toward supporting evacuees at Naramata Centre, and the North Okanagan Community Foundation's wildfire relief fund. The music will feature a variety of acts from choral music, to classical guitar, original tunes, and a set of all-star musicians playing standards from the jazz tradition.

The concert came about when several members of First Community wanted to step forth to do something to help our neighbours in need, for the evacuees Bradley Creek and Bald Range wildfires. With conversation, several community partners, First Community, The Salmon Arm Jazz Club, Voice of the Shuswap, and many individual musicians decided to come together to raise funds to directly support the evacuees.

Doors open at 7pm. Seating is first come, first serve. Admission is by donation; cash, cheque, credit card, and online donation options available.

Come listen to the sounds of: First Singers, Dave Simmons, Andréa Bajová, Ben MacRae & Skye Eriksen, Jake McIntyre-Paul, Callum Orchard, Liam Nadurak, Emilie Bradford and Andrea Anderson.

Please join us in giving a HUUUUGE thank you to the incredible Rancho Vignola! We missed thanking them on our social media during the festival BUT we need you to know how much they support our festival and our community! In fact for the past 16 years, Rancho Vignola has provided their products to help us not only fuel the festival artists but our 700+ person volunteer team as well!

This year is a big one for the Rancho Vignola family, celebrating 45 years of being in business and feeding our community fresh, quality food.

The Vignola family and many of our team are passionate about music and play a variety of instruments, including having played in bands and sung in choirs. Not only do we always have music playing, but we’ve also had live bagpipes, guitar, violin, and piano performances in the warehouse over the years. That same spirit is what draws us to Roots & Blues, a celebration of creativity and connection that brings people together in a way we always look forward to.

Each year, we contribute our New Crop foods to help fuel the artists, volunteers, and behind-the-scenes crews who keep the weekend running smoothly. Supporting the people who come together to make the festival the best it can be is something we value deeply, as it reflects the same sense of care and community that defines the festival."
