Not sure what your dancer should be working on or which instructor would be the best fit? Include that in your email, and Miss Maddi will be happy to provide guidance and recommendations.

AMP IT UP x PARTICIPACTION

We are so excited to announce that Arlene Minkhorst (retired director of the Winnipeg Ballet School!!!) is providing FREE Adult Beginner ballet classes for ParticipACTION Month at our studio!💃

Location: AMP IT UP (63 Peter Street Salisbury)

Come try something new, have fun, no experience required! The entire program is free!

Bio:
Arlene Minkhorst is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada and of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. She performed in numerous productions with the RWB Company before directing her energies to teaching full-time for the RWB
School.

In 2004 Ms. Minkhorst became Director of the RWB School and led both its Professional and Recreational Divisions until 2018 when she took accepted the position of Director of Education for Tulsa Ballet. She retired in 2023 with the title of Tulsa Ballet, School Director Emeritus.

Ms. Minkhorst currently volunteers as Chair of the Steering Committee of the International Alliance of Professional Dance Schools. She continues to accept engagements as a guest teacher and as an adjudicator for dance festivals and dance competitions across Canada and the United States. She has been a member of the jury for the Youth America Grand Prix, the Prix de Lausanne, the Japan Grand Prix, the Tanzolymp, ADC/IBC and UBC competitions.
