These age guidelines are in effect during the new "all ages" with sticks as well.

All Ages with Sticks/Ball Hockey - standard age rules for facility apply. Helmets required, including seated on bench .
Adults with Sticks - 19+. Helmets required, including seated on bench .
Helmets are required for all "with sticks" and ball hockey sessions, including when seated on the bench. For ball hockey, users MUST have closed-toe athletic shoes on. No sandals or slip-on shoes allowed.
Sticks and pucks are not allowed during any slots except those listed as "with sticks" or ball hockey.

NOTE: if a session is listed as a double slot (i.e. public skate has 2 slots in a row), users only pay 1 time for both slots of the same type. Please be aware that the elevator at the Garcelon Civic Center is currently out of service due to an unexpected mechanical issue that did cause, and may continue to cause, passengers to become temporarily trapped, not due to a permit issue.

In addition, an ongoing strike involving the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 125 is disrupting elevator maintenance and repair services across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. As a result, we are unable to confirm when the elevator will be operational again.

If you require the elevator to access the facility, please call 506-466-7700 before your visit to confirm its availability.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We will provide another update as soon as more information becomes available.
