When the screen gets bigger, so does the standard.

As The Mandalorian & Grogu moves to theaters, the creative ambition behind its visual effects scales with it.

"Part of what people enjoyed about The Mandalorian was that we were delivering cinema-level effects," Favreau notes. "And when we had projections on the big screen for things like premieres or fan screenings, it would hold up quite well. We had to take that up a notch and deliver best-in-class VFX on a scale that held up to IMAX projection."

As 7 Dogs reaches audiences today, we’re taking a moment to recognize the talent, dedication, and collaboration of the Hybride teams whose work shaped the project across production, technology, operations, and artistry.

Moving between international locations and blending espionage, crime, and large-scale action, 7 Dogs brings together an international cast including Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Monica Bellucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Salman Khan, and Sanjay Dutt. Throughout the production, the project continuously pushed our teams to explore new creative territory while maintaining the level of craft that defines our work.

Behind every sequence is a collective effort shaped by many departments, many perspectives, and a shared commitment to the final result. Today, we’re proud to highlight the people who contributed to that journey.

Alors que 7 Dogs prend l’affiche aujourd’hui, nous prenons un moment pour souligner le talent, l’engagement et la collaboration des équipes de Hybride dont le travail a contribué au projet, à travers la production, la technologie, les opérations et les métiers artistiques.

Entre espionnage, crime et action à grande échelle déployés à travers plusieurs villes à l’international, 7 Dogs réunit une distribution internationale comprenant Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Monica Bellucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Salman Khan et Sanjay Dutt. Last week, we took a moment away from production schedules and shot deliveries to gather with family and friends for a screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu.

After spending months helping shape the film, it was a special moment to finally experience it together on the big screen with the people who supported us throughout the journey.

Congratulations to all the teams involved in bringing this new adventure to the screen.

La semaine dernière, nous avons pris un moment loin des calendriers de production et des livraisons de plans pour se réunir en famille et entre collègues lors d’une projection de The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Today marks the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, and we’re proud to see the work of our teams reach audiences around the world.

Over the course of the production, Hybride artists and crews contributed to more than 300 shots, helping support the film’s scale, atmosphere, and storytelling.

Projects like these are built through collaboration, creativity, and an enormous amount of care from every department involved.

For our final revisit before the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu this Friday, we’re looking back at the transformation of Nevarro in Season 3.

What was once a city under constant threat had evolved into something more vibrant and alive — expanded architecture, growing vegetation, markets, crowds, and a broader sense of activity throughout its environments.

Across 950 shots delivered for the season, Hybride’s work shaped transformation through digital environments, set extensions, CG crowds, all integrated alongside the live-action photography.

The goal was to preserve the identity of Nevarro while showing how much the city had changed over time.

Pour notre dernier retour sur The Mandalorian avant la sortie de The Mandalorian and Grogu ce vendredi, nous revenons sur la transformation de Nevarro dans la saison 3.

Autrefois une ville constamment sous menace, Nevarro est devenue un lieu plus vivant et prospère, avec son architecture élargie, sa végétation grandissante, ses marchés, et ses foules à travers ses différents environnements.

À travers les 950 plans livrés pour la saison, le travail de Hybride a contribué à façonner cette transformation grâce aux environnements numériques, aux extensions de décors et aux foules CG, intégrés aux prises de vues réelles.

With The Mandalorian and Grogu arriving this Friday, we’re continuing our revisit of the work created across The Mandalorian.

For Season 2, the scale expanded considerably, with 883 shots delivered across a wide range of sequences, environments, and creatures.

From the pack of Massiffs to the Dark Trooper battle droids, the very different VFX requirements from one sequence to another meant constant shifts in approach and ex*****on.

Season 2 became a continuous exercise in adaptation and problem-solving.

Pour la saison 2, l’ampleur a considérablement augmenté, avec 883 plans livrés à travers une grande variété de séquences, d’environnements et de créatures.

De la meute de Massiffs aux Dark Troopers, les exigences VFX très différentes d’une séquence à l’autre ont entraîné des ajustements constants dans les approches et les méthodes d’exécution.

As Ghost War approaches, we revisited some of the work developed across Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan over the years.

Across four seasons, the series brought a wide range of VFX challenges — from invisible environment work and large-scale set extensions to digital doubles, crowd simulation, FX, and complex compositing.

At one point, our team even rebuilt an entire refugee camp populated with hundreds of CG civilians integrated into aerial photography.

In retrospect, what stands out most is the variety of techniques and approaches required from one sequence to the next.

À l’approche de Ghost War, nous sommes revenus sur une partie du travail réalisé au fil des années sur Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

Pendant quatre saisons, la série nous a amenés à intervenir sur une grande variété de défis VFX, allant du travail d’environnement invisible et des extensions de décors à grande échelle jusqu’aux doubles numériques, à la simulation de foules, aux FX et au compositing complexe.

À un certain moment, notre équipe a même reconstruit entièrement un camp de réfugiés peuplé de centaines de civils CG intégrés à des prises de vues aériennes.

Avec le recul, c’est surtout la diversité des techniques et des approches d’une séquence à l’autre qui ressort.

An exclusive look at the food pod from The Mandalorian and Grogu, where Jon Favreau joins chef Roy Choi to recreate the Flat Meat Fry seen in the film.

Hybride handled the animation work for this food truck scene, including the sandwich created by Roy.

The Ardennian fry cook Hugo — a digital character voiced by Martin Scorsese — is also brought to life through Hybride’s animation work.

Un regard exclusif sur le camion-restaurant de The Mandalorian and Grogu, où Jon Favreau rejoint le chef Roy Choi pour recréer le Flat Meat Fry aperçu dans le film.

With The Mandalorian and Grogu on the way, we’ve been revisiting some of the work created across the three seasons of The Mandalorian.

Starting with Season 1 and IG-11

In collaboration with ILM, our team contributed to the creation of the IG-11 asset, including the development of the 3D model and animation work that helped define the character’s on-screen personality.

One of the interesting challenges with a droid like IG-11 is performance — communicating intention and emotion without relying on facial expressions, dialogue cues, or traditional character features.

Avec l’arrivée prochaine de The Mandalorian & Grogu, nous revisitons une partie du travail réalisé sur les trois saisons de The Mandalorian.

En commençant avec la saison 1 et IG-11.

En collaboration avec ILM, notre équipe a contribué à la création de l’asset d’IG-11, notamment au développement du modèle 3D ainsi qu’au travail d’animation ayant permis de définir la personnalité du personnage à l’écran.

L’un des défis intéressants avec un droïde comme IG-11 était de communiquer une intention et une présence sans s’appuyer sur des expressions faciales ou des traits de personnage traditionnels.

Un retour sur les deux autres saisons de la série suivra prochainement.

At Hybride, we have helped bring droids and robots to life in the Star Wars universe — mechanical by nature, but never without presence.
