A side-splitting sci-fi musical follows the crew of the SS Ripper, who find themselves crash-landed on an uncharted planet while attempting to rescue a stranded freighter. With the captain's perfect mission record and the pilot's reputation hanging in the balance, the crew must scramble to repair their ship and fulfill their mission, all while facing personal challenges and fears.

Fundy Fringe Festival is one week away and it’s time to meet our talent for Virgo Theatre Company’s JIMMY ARMAGEDDON!

Carter Scott (Jimmy). Stage credits include: Saint Joan/ Flood Productions (The Dauphin); The Tempest/ Bard in the Barracks (Ferdinand), and Julius Caesar/ Bard in the Barracks (Decius Brutus, Lepidus, Titinius). Carter is a multi talented theatre artist originally hailing from Hampton, NB.

Shaleena Faust (Anna). Stage credits include: Miracle on 34th Street/ SJTC (Doris Walker); Anne of Green Gables/ CLT (Diana Barry), and Singing in the Rain/ CLT (Lina Lamont). Shaleena is an actor- singer originally hailing from Vancouver Island.

Douglas Kelly (The Stranger). Stage credits include: Macbeth/ LCS (King Duncan) and Much Ado About Nothing/ LCS (Leonato). Most recent production credit includes: Misery/ SJTC (Stage Manager). Doug has been volunteering for 33 years in the Saint John theatre scene, as a teacher and with SJTC.

Cameron Secord (Bob/Writer). Stage Credits include: Macbeth/ LCS (Macbeth); One Night in Milwaukee/ Virgo Theatre Company (Rick), No Man is an Island/ ARC (William Harding) and The Pillowman/ Virgo Theatre Company (Katurian). Most recent writing credit includes: One Night in Milwaukee. JIMMY ARMAGEDDON is Cameron’s fourth original Fringe show.

Matt Hamilton- Snow (Director/Stage Manager). Directing credits include: Saint Joan/ Flood Productions; Doctor Faustus/ Flood Productions; The Pillowman/ Virgo Theatre Company; The Tempest/ LCS, and The Boys in the Band/ SJTC. Acting credits include: Hamlet/ LCS (Marcellus/Priest); Macbeth/ LCS (Witch), and East of Berlin/ SJTC (Hermann). Matt operates his own production company Flood Productions.

🎭 TEASER ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OUR 2024 FRINGE PRODUCTION

Virgo Theatre Company is excited to finally share an original production premiering this summer at the Fundy Fringe Festival. Virgo Theatre Company will be mounting JIMMY ARMAGEDDON, a one-act dark comedy written by Cameron Secord. The Fundy Fringe Festival runs from August 19-24. Times and location TBA 🎭

From the writer of One Night in Milwaukee comes a maniacal rollercoaster ride of a play that dives deep into the consequences of messing with time & order and all the infinite realities in between.

After a 2 year hiatus, Virgo is back in action this summer at the Fundy Fringe Festival. We have something unique and entertaining in store with our next original production ☄️

Thank you to Drew Murdock and the team & volunteers for an amazing, intense and intimate week of solid theatre. Thank you as well for this little award!

The Fundy Fringe Festival is always ran with the utmost competence, consistency and creativity and this year was no different. One Night In Milwaukee would not have been possible without all the production and tech help we received. A special thank you goes out to and Angie & Dean Secord.

One Night In Milwaukee has been running for three days now and the audience turnout/support has been incredible. Last night’s sold out show was accompanied by a great 4:30 run today 🎭

Virgo Theatre Company Presents ‘One Night In Milwaukee’. A 2022 Fundy Fringe Festival submission.

Inspired by the true story of a 1990’s American crime spree- One Night In Milwaukee is a gritty, one act drama that follows the story of two brothers working on the Northside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While coming to terms with their environment, sexuality, morality and the bizarre shoppers that frequent the store, the brothers must navigate the playing field of the city while coming to the realization that one of their favourite customers is not who he seems to be.

From the writer of ‘The Disappearance of Scarlett Sky’ (2018 Fundy Fringe Festival Performers Pick of the Year) (***** 5 Star Grid City Magazine) comes another dramatic thriller that truly exposes the reality of monsters hiding in plain sight.

Show takes place at 86 Princess St (The Warehouse)- only a few doors down from the Fundy Fringe Festival HQ (BMO Studio)

After almost two years of hiatus due to the pandemic and various side projects, Virgo Theatre Company is excited to announce that we have been accepted into the Fundy Fringe Festival and will be putting on an original one act play! The start of a creative and ambitious summer has begun.

Fundy Fringe Festival runs from August 22-27 and will be hosting acts from all over North America, especially locally. Being the 10th year anniversary of the festival, it won't be a Fringe you'll want to miss. Stay tuned for further show and ticket information from the Fundy Fringe Festival as well as Virgo Theatre Company.

It's important to note how difficult it has been for artists during this time. Restraints on the theatres themselves took a massive toll on the productions of so many. Please make sure to support all participating acts this summer while keeping in mind that the art you are experiencing takes hours and hours and hours of dedicated, hard work to complete. Donations when coming to the Fringe, or to the artists themselves for that matter, is always greatly appreciated.

A major thank you to the Fundy Fringe Festival for always hosting a wild ride of exciting shows year after year as well as the city of Saint John- the place where we have been so proud to create our own brand of unique shows for the past four years now.
