Finalement notre merveilleuse metteure en scène!!
Finally our wonderful director!!
Émélie Caron (metteure en scène) est surtout connue à Saint-Jean sous le nom de Mme Émélie. Travaillant avec les enfants depuis plusieurs années, en mettant toujours l’accent sur l’imagination et la créativité, elle est entre autres la responsable des comités de théâtre et d’improvisation à Samuel-de-Champlain. Cependant, elle est avant tout une femme de scène. À la suite de l’obtention d’un baccalauréat en théâtre à l’Université d’Ottawa, elle a étudié pour quelques mois à l’école internationale de théâtre LASSAAD à Bruxelles, puis suivit de nombreux ateliers ou cours dans différents arts de la scène comme le ballet, le chant classique, le clown, le bouffon, l’impro et le cirque, toujours dans le désir de perfectionner son art. Si à ses débuts elle était d’avantage comédienne, ces dernières années elle s’est surtout intéressé à la direction d’acteurs. Guider les comédiens à la découverte de leur personnage est dorénavant une véritable passion! Cette pièce de théâtre est sa seconde mise en scène.
Émélie Caron (Director) is mainly known in Saint John as Madame Émélie. She has been working with children for several years and always puts emphasis on imagination and creativity in this work. Amongst under things, she oversees the drama and improv clubs at Samuel-de-Champlain. However, her first love was for the stage. After the completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Ottawa, she studied for a few months at the International School of Theater LASSAAD in Brussels, and then she undertook several workshops and courses in various performing arts such as ballet, classical singing, clown, bouffon, improv, and circus; always with the desire to perfect her artform. If in her beginnings she was mostly acting, in the last few years her interest has shifted towards directing. Guiding actors in the discovery of their character is from now on a true passion! This is her second time directing a stage production.
