Symphony New Brunswick (Mélanie Léonard, Music Director) is currently accepting applications for the position of Principal Viola! This is a permanent, salaried position that is based in Saint John, NB and splits time between Symphony NB's main orchestra and the Saint John String Quartet.

In May 2025, Symphony NB had the absolute privilege of performing on the Acadian Peninsula at St-Simon Church. It was an incredible experience to take the full orchestra on the road for such a performance, and we are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to and be a part of the history of such a beautiful venue and community space.

En mai 2025, Symphonie NB a eu l’immense privilège de se produire sur la péninsule acadienne, à l’église Saint-Simon. Ce fut une expérience incroyable que de partir en tournée avec l’orchestre au complet pour un tel concert, et nous sommes éternellement reconnaissants d’avoir eu l’occasion de contribuer à l’histoire de ce lieu magnifique et de cet espace communautaire, et d’en faire partie.

Our season ends with our Final Signature: Words & Images, a program that weaves together the Shakespearean magic of Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream (Overture)", the heavenly lyricism of "Le Récital des anges" by Indigenous composer Ian Cusson, and Mussorgsky’s evocative and iconic "Pictures at an Exhibition".

With Guest Artist Camryn Dewar, soprano.

Featuring the talents of Guest Artists Elisabeth St-Gelais, soprano; Christianne Bélanger, mezzo-soprano; Ernesto Ramirez, tenor; Alex Halliday, bass-baritone.
