SJ Rock Camp for Girls and Gender Creative Kids Saint John Girls+ Rock Camp is a week-long day camp for girls, genderqueer, and trans youth from ages 11-18. August 23rd-28th 2021.

Day 4's banners were a huge success! Campers worked hard on designing and creating their original backdrops for you to see. Along with banners, Campers have been making their original songs, posters, photo shoots, and of course, having fun!

Special shout out to ._.studio for all her amazing work with our campers' photo shoots! It's an amazing addition to the camp and a memory that sticks with everyone.

🤟APPLY NOW TO ROCK!!! 🤟We’re accepting applicants to register for our Aug 19-24 day camp for girls, trans youth of any identity, and non binary youth!! Learn an instrument, form a band, and perform your original music in a live show at all-ages venue Haven Music Hall! Link in the bio for the registration!

Saint John Rock Camp is the proud recipient of a grant from the Saint John Municipal Arts Board to conduct an exciting new project for former attendees of SJ Rock Camp!! Thank you so much to the Arts Board for funding this project and being a supporter of Rock Camp since our infancy! Saint John Rock Camp for Girls and Gender Creative Kids is a community-focused project, we try to demonstrate to the campers that creative communities require lots of skillsets and supports. For this reason it is so meaningful to us to have such a meaningful list of sponsors, funders, and community partners. Each one of these organizations leads by example in our community, and it is such a cool feeling for the campers and organizers of the camp to know that Saint John wants our little camp to succeed. An important component of our camp is that it is completely free to attend, and that wouldn't be possible without the support of each of these organizations. THANK YOU to every facilitator, camper, parent, sponsor, and funder who made Saint John Rock Camp for Girls and Gender Creative Kids 2023 so special!
The camp week was truly touching to everyone involved, the campers worked so diligently and collaboratively to create amazingly complete band identities and songs. Every facilitator and workshop leader was so struck by the willingness to dive in, the support of each other's ideas, and the sheer creative silliness that ensued in the band rooms! We hope that every single camper feels proud of what they accomplished, because the camp week and the showcase were truly inspiring.
