Sussex-based artist Monica Toner will be joining us this Friday at Glass Roots for Saint John Gallery Hop, where she’ll be LIVE painting throughout the evening. 🎨

We recently hung her newest and largest piece to date, titled Sussex Bluffs, which you can view during the Gallery Hop. Our hot air balloons look right at home hanging in front of the painting, it’s like we have the balloon fiesta right here at Glass Roots. ✨

This week, our founder, Curtis Dionne, is taking his creativity beyond the studio and into Fundy National Park!

Curtis is participating in Beneath the Surface, an artist residency that brings together New Brunswick creatives to explore new ideas, push artistic boundaries, and find fresh inspiration.

Our glass Christmas trees now come in two sizes! 🎄

Curtis has made a larger version to go alongside our original, so you can now choose between the small tree for $75 or the large tree for $135.

Both are handmade right here in our Saint John studio and make a beautiful addition to your Christmas decor, year after year.

If you’ve ever had a hummingbird visit your yard in the summer, you know how special it is to see one up close.

Here in New Brunswick, ruby-throated hummingbirds return each spring after migrating south for the winter. Despite their tiny size, they travel thousands of kilometres every year, making them some pretty remarkable little birds.

Hummingbirds are often associated with joy, resilience, hope, and new beginnings. Their incredible journeys are a reminder that even the smallest creatures can be surprisingly strong, while their arrival each spring brings a little reminder of warmer days ahead.

We’ve made these little birds in a whole range of colours, each one handmade right here at Glass Roots in Saint John. A meaningful gift for a bird lover or a little piece of summer to keep all year round.
