💜A Beloved Story, Reimagined in Glass ❤️

Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colours” tells the story of a coat her mother lovingly made from scraps of fabric — a humble coat that became a treasured symbol of love, family, and finding beauty in what you have.

Each scrap may have seemed ordinary on its own, but stitched together with a mother’s love, those little pieces became something extraordinary. ❤️

Inspired by Dolly’s story, Lori Young of Young’s Stained Glass has brought that iconic coat to life in this beautiful 7" × 6" stained glass window.

Made with colourful, textured glass, the piece truly comes alive when the light shines through — just like the story that inspired it. 🌈✨

We’re so delighted to have Lori’s beautiful stained glass work here at Glass Roots! 🌼

Come see it in person and let the light tell the story. 💜

This bowl was HEAVY. 😳🔥

Curtis made this large bowl while a group of cruise guests watched, and it barely fit in the furnace. The amount of glass on the end of the rod made it incredibly heavy to work with, but watching it slowly take shape was pretty amazing!

I had the joy of making this incredible vessel sink for customers who are building a beautiful dream home. They picked it up today and though it was my first ever sink, they seemed quite pleased with it. 😊 it features a rolled ultra thick lip for comfort and style, satin frosted finish on the outside below the lip, adventurine green band of colour, and half inch thickness. Water swirls and drains beautifully with no splashing. Im very satisfied
16" long x 12" wide x 6" tall in front and 8" tall in back.
Cant thank my customers enough for continuing to provide great opportunities and support our craft

This is what you might catch when you stop by the gallery. 🔥

Curtis gave a little glassblowing demo for a family visiting us today, turning a bit of molten glass into a bowl right in front of their eyes.

You never know what you’ll catch happening in the studio! 👀

Looks like we really landed on the sandal police on this one!

A little packing day ASMR because crinkly paper is oddly satisfying. 📦😂

This order had beer steins, ruby maple leaf cups and tumblers, all getting carefully wrapped up before they get shipped out of the studio.

Nothing fancy, just a little look at one of those behind-the-scenes parts of our business, we appreciate everyone who supports us here at Glass Roots!
