☀️ Nous avons passé une merveilleuse journée hier au festival IMAGINE, à la ferme Kerr's, à Gore, au Québec !

Un immense merci à Jaime Bisaillon-Scully, à toute l'équipe du programme 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity, à Lori's Links ainsi qu'à Kerr's Farm pour avoir organisé et accueilli un événement aussi chaleureux, célébrant la neurodiversité, la créativité et la communauté.

Nous avons eu énormément de plaisir à retrouver des amis, à rencontrer de nouveaux sympathisants et à célébrer les forces et les talents uniques de notre communauté neurodivergente ici, dans les Laurentides.

La famille ISMAgination était fière de participer de trois façons bien spéciales :

🎨 Ismael Bello — d'ISMAgination Autism & Arts, qui fait partie de la Fondation ISMAgination — a présenté sa plus récente collection de peintures acryliques ainsi que de nouvelles créations artisanales, dont ses sous-verres en pierre naturelle peints à la main, aux côtés des magnifiques œuvres de ses collègues artistes talentueux.

🦋 Notre membre le plus âgé, Alfredo Bello, a exposé ses magnifiques créations en vitrail, notamment des champignons, des gnomes, des papillons, des anges pour animaux de compagnie et bien plus encore.

🌸 Tout au long de la journée, la talentueuse équipe d'ISMAgination a animé deux ateliers créatifs où les participants ont utilisé la technique du faux vitrail sur des plaques d'acrylique pour créer de magnifiques éventails décoratifs, ainsi que de superbes fleurs confectionnées à partir de fils chenille colorés.

Ce fut un véritable bonheur de voir tout le monde se rassembler pour créer des liens, célébrer l'individualité et profiter d'une magnifique journée d'été dans le cadre enchanteur de la ferme Kerr.

Merci à toutes les personnes qui sont venues nous rendre visite, qui ont participé à nos activités, qui ont encouragé nos artistes et qui ont contribué à faire de cette journée un moment si mémorable. Nous sommes reconnaissants de faire partie d'une communauté aussi bienveillante et solidaire, et nous avons déjà hâte de vous revoir ! 💜🐢

☀️ We had a wonderful day yesterday at the IMAGINE Festival at Kerr's Farm in Gore, Quebec!

A big thank you to Jaime Bisaillon-Scully and the entire 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity Program team, Lori's Links, and Kerr's Farm for organizing and hosting such a welcoming event that celebrates neurodiversity, creativity, and community.

We had an amazing time reconnecting with friends, meeting new supporters, and celebrating the unique strengths and talents of our neurodivergent community here in the Laurentians.

The ISMAgination family was proud to participate in three special ways:

🎨 Ismael Bello—from ISMAgination Autism & Arts, part of the ISMAgination Foundation—exhibited his latest acrylic painting collection and new craft pieces, including his individually hand-painted natural rock coasters, alongside the wonderful creations of his fellow talented artists.

🦋 Our most senior member, Alfredo Bello, displayed his beautiful stained-glass creations, including mushrooms, gnomes, butterflies, pet angels, and more.

🌸 Throughout the day, the creative ISMAgination team led two hands-on arts and crafts activities where participants used the faux stained-glass technique on acrylic plates to create decorative fans, as well as beautiful flowers made from colorful fuzzy wire.

It was heartwarming to see everyone come together to connect, celebrate individuality, and enjoy a beautiful summer day in the lovely setting of Kerr's Farm.

Thank you to everyone who visited our tables, participated in our activities, encouraged our artists, and helped make this such a memorable day. We are grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community and can't wait to see you again soon! 💜🐢

🎨 We'd love to see you at the IMAGINE 2026 Festival!

Come visit Ismael Bello from ISMAgination Autism & Arts (part of the ISMAgination Foundation) and the rest of the ISMAgination team at Kerr Farm in Gore, Quebec, this coming Saturday, July 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The IMAGINE 2026 Festival, organized by the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity Program, is a wonderful day celebrating creativity, community, and inclusion.

The ISMAgination team will host a fun, hands-on creative arts and crafts activity in the morning and another in the afternoon—for people of all ages and skill levels. We'd love for you to join us and get creative!

Be sure to also stop by Ismael's table to see his newest arts and crafts creations. We'll also have a separate table, in another area at the festival, featuring a beautiful selection of stained glass artwork.

While at the festival, take some time to explore the amazing work of the many talented artists—and Ismael's friends. It's a great opportunity to express our creativity, support our local artists, and meet up and enjoy a fun day together.

Atelier : Découpage inversé sur plaque d’acrylique

Malgré la vague de chaleur, nous avons passé un autre bel après-midi créatif avec les participants du programme de neurodiversité AAL de 4Korners (4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity), le 2 juillet, à la Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS), où nous avons découvert la technique du découpage inversé sur des plaques d’acrylique transparentes.

Ensemble, nous avons utilisé des serviettes décoratives pour transférer un motif au dos de la plaque avant de peindre l’arrière, créant ainsi une image colorée qui prend vie lorsqu’on la regarde de face. Cette activité nous a permis de développer la motricité fine, la planification des étapes, la patience et le souci du détail, tout en explorant une nouvelle technique artistique.

Workshop Spotlight: Reverse Decoupage on Acrylic

Despite the heat wave, we enjoyed another creative afternoon with participants from the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity on July 2 at Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS), where we learned the reverse decoupage technique on transparent acrylic plates.

Together, we used decorative napkins to transfer beautiful designs to the back of the acrylic before painting the reverse side, creating colorful images that come to life when viewed from the front.

Along the way, we practiced fine motor skills, sequencing, patience, and attention to detail while exploring a fun new artistic technique.

🌿 Retour sur notre Journée Bien-être du 27 juin! 🌿

Le samedi 27 juin, l'équipe d'ISMAgination a eu le plaisir d'accueillir des familles à son siège social de Saint-Hippolyte pour une Journée Bien-être organisée et commanditée par le programme de neurodiversité de 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity.

Pendant que les parents participaient à une discussion enrichissante sur le bien-être et la santé, animée par Laurie Mitchell de Uni-Diversity, nos jeunes et adultes se sont réunis au Studio ISMAgination pour laisser libre cours à leur créativité. La plupart ont découvert la technique du craquelé sur des disques en acrylique, tandis que nos plus jeunes artistes ont réalisé de jolis dessins et des collages colorés à l'aide de mini pompons.

Après un dîner et des rafraîchissements partagés tous ensemble, l'après-midi s'est poursuivie dans une ambiance festive avec des jeux à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur, du karaoké, des tatouages temporaires réalisés par Ismael Bello, et s'est terminée par un tirage de prix.

Plus que tout, cette journée a permis à chacun de se détendre, de créer, de rire et de passer un agréable moment dans un environnement accueillant, inclusif et bienveillant.

🌿 A Look Back at Our Wellness Day! 🌿

On Saturday, June 27, the ISMAgination team welcomed families to our Saint-Hippolyte headquarters for a Wellness Day organized and sponsored by the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity program.

While parents took part in a supportive discussion on well-being and health led by Laurie Mitchell from Uni-Diversity, our youth and adult participants got creative in the ISMAgination Studio. Most learned the crackle technique on acrylic discs, while our youngest artists enjoyed drawing and creating colourful collage paintings using mini pom-poms.

After everyone came together for lunch and refreshments, the afternoon was all about fun! We enjoyed indoor and outdoor games, karaoke, temporary tattoos by Ismael Bello, and wrapped up the day with raffle prizes.

More than anything, it was an opportunity for everyone to relax, be creative, share a few laughs, and enjoy spending time together in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Créativité, confiance et une touche de magie en macramé ! 🌼

La créativité était à l'honneur le 3 juin 2026 à l'École secondaire régionale Laurentian (LRHS), alors que les participants du programme 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity ont transformé de simples sous-verres en bois en véritables petites œuvres d'art!

À l'aide de serviettes florales, de techniques de découpage et de franges en macramé fabriquées à la main, les participants ont créé des designs uniques reflétant leur imagination et leur style personnel. Ils ont également développé leur concentration, leur motricité fine, leur capacité à prendre des décisions et à résoudre des problèmes, tout en relevant des défis créatifs avec patience et détermination.

L'atelier a favorisé l'expression de soi, la confiance et les liens sociaux dans un environnement bienveillant où les jeunes autistes et autres personnes neurodivergentes ont pu explorer leurs talents et prendre plaisir à créer quelque chose d'unique qui leur ressemble.

💛 Nous sommes très fiers de chaque participant!

Creativity, Confidence, and a Touch of Macramé Magic! 🌼

Creativity was on full display on June 3, 2026, at Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS) as participants in the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity program in coasters into beautiful works of art!

Using floral napkins, decoupage techniques, and handcrafted macramé fringe, participants created unique designs that reflected their imagination and personal style. Along the way, they practiced concentration, fine motor skills, decision-making, and problem-solving while overcoming creative challenges—such as handling fragile napkins and creating balanced fringe designs—with patience and determination.

The workshop encouraged self-expression, confidence, and connection in a supportive environment where autistic and other neurodivergent youth could explore their talents and enjoy creating something uniquely their own.

We are very proud of every participant! 💛

All creations were beautiful and will be available for purchase at the Imagine Festival on July 25th!

✨ Créativité, concentration et beaucoup d’imagination étaient au rendez-vous… et tout le monde s’est énormément amusé! ✨

Le mercredi 27 mai 2026, à la Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS), les participants du programme de neurodiversité de 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity ont transformé de simples pots de verre recyclés en véritables œuvres d’art — et les résultats étaient magnifiques!

Animée par l’équipe d’ISMAgination, cette activité a permis à des participants autistes et autres personnes neurodivergentes de mettre en valeur leur créativité et leur talent. Et quel talent!
Munis de bâtonnets de bois, de cordons décoratifs colorés, de magnifiques motifs floraux et animaliers à transfert, ainsi que d’une bonne dose d’imagination, chacun a créé une pièce unique à son image. Aucun pot ne ressemblait à un autre, chacun reflétant la personnalité et l’univers créatif de son artiste.

Au-delà du résultat final, cette activité a permis de développer plusieurs habiletés importantes : la planification, la résolution de problèmes, la patience, la motricité fine et le souci du détail. Chaque étape demandait de mesurer, coller, enrouler, aligner et assembler avec soin.

L’un des plus grands défis? Travailler sur une surface de verre courbée tout en gardant les éléments bien droits et bien positionnés! Mais nos participants ont relevé le défi avec détermination, concentration, persévérance… et le sourire.

Des ateliers comme celui-ci vont bien au-delà du bricolage. Ils offrent aux jeunes autistes et neurodivergents des occasions de développer leur confiance en eux, leur autonomie, de nouvelles compétences et de s’exprimer dans un environnement accueillant et bienveillant où leur créativité peut pleinement s’épanouir.

Nous sommes extrêmement fiers de tout ce qui a été accompli! Les créations étaient superbes, mais la confiance, la persévérance et la joie démontrées tout au long de l’activité l’étaient encore davantage. 💛

✨ Creativity, focus, and a whole lot of Imagination were on full display! And a great time was had by all! ✨

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS), participants in the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity program transformed ordinary recycled glass jars into stunning works of art—and the results were amazing!

The recently held activity, led by the ISMAgination team, featured autistic and other neurodivergent participants showing off their creative skills. And it was impressive.

Armed with wooden craft sticks, colorful decorative cords, beautiful rub-on floral and animal designs, and plenty of creativity, everyone put their own unique spin on their project. No two jars were alike, and each one reflected the personality and imagination of its creator.

While the finished pieces looked terrific, there was even more happening beneath the surface. Participants practiced planning, problem-solving, patience, fine motor skills, and attention to detail as they measured, glued, wrapped, aligned, and assembled their designs step by step.

One of the trickiest parts? Working on curved glass surfaces while keeping everything straight and properly positioned! But our participants rose to the challenge with determination, focus, perseverance, and a grin.

Workshops like this are about so much more than arts and crafts. They provide autistic and other neurodivergent youth with opportunities to build confidence, strengthen independence, develop new skills, and express themselves in a welcoming, supportive environment where their creativity can shine.

We couldn't be prouder of what everyone accomplished! The jars were beautiful—but the confidence, persistence, and joy on display were even more impressive. 💛

Mercredi dernier, le 13 mai, l’équipe d’ISMAgination Autism & Arts a animé un autre atelier créatif à la LRHS dans le cadre du programme 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity.

Cette fois-ci, les participants ont utilisé de la corde macramé, de la dentelle et de la peinture acrylique pour transformer de simples pots en verre en créations colorées et faites à la main, chacune avec son propre style et sa propre personnalité.

Avec un peu d’amour, d’attention et d’imagination, un simple vieux pot en verre peut reprendre vie — comme pot à biscuits, pot à bonbons ou même comme pot pour de futures idées d’ateliers, lol.

Nous avons passé un très beau moment à créer ensemble. :-)

This past Wednesday, May 13, the ISMAgination Autism & Arts team led another creative workshop at LRHS through the 4Korners - AAL Neurodiversity program.

This time, participants used macramé cord, lace, and acrylic paint to turn simple glass jars into colourful handmade creations, each with its own unique style and personality.

With a little love, attention, and imagination, a plain old glass jar can come back to life—as a cookie jar, a candy jar, or even a jar for future workshop ideas, lol.

We had a lovely time creating together. :-)
