We're looking for youth ages 9-13 that have a passion for performing, love an epic story, and aren't afraid of working with challenging dialogue! Everyone is welcome, whether they have theatre experience or not. This Winter (2019-2020) Classic Kids Theatre presents, Macbeth! Premise - A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King

of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth takes the King Duncans' life, and claims the Scottish throne for himself. He is overcome with guilt, and begins to see ghosts...

Classic Kids Theatre will be operating out of Calvary Church in St. Registration is due by October 17th, and the program runs from November until April, with a break in December until mid-January. For a complete rehearsal schedule, registration information, or any program inquiries, please call or send me a message. Theatre provides a tremendous opportunity for personal growth. Whether students want to pursue acting or not, this is a unique experience that is both social and educational. While making friends; students will also be gaining confidence in themselves, both on and off the stage. They will develop their literary skills and comprehension by analyzing text and storytelling, in addition to gaining effective public speaking skills, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, poise, and professionalism. The cost of the program is $395.

$95 deposit is due at registration. The remainder owing can be paid up front, or by monthly payment plan. There are no extra fees, but students may be required to bring minor costume pieces, such as a pair of jeans, tights, or plain white T-shirt. Payment will be accepted by Cash, PayPal, and Etransfer

Introducing the Director

I’ve loved theatre for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Stratford; my passion for theatre was almost second nature. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to visit the Stratford Festival as often as I wanted; I fell in love with Shakespeare’s works in my highschool English classes.

After highschool, I continued to follow my passion and studied Music Theatre Performance at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. During my time at St. Clair College, I volunteered with a local children’s theatre group; where I directed my first play with the 5-9 year-olds.

After graduation, I moved to Niagara, and have enjoyed this beautiful city for over 10 years. Since arriving I have found myself leading youth theatre camps, writing and directing kids’ plays, and even performing in schools.

Seeing the positive impact theatre has on young people (including myself); I have always dreamed of creating my own kids theatre group. One that focuses on my favourite playwright, Shakespeare. From there, Classic Kids Theatre was born!
