'The Long Weekend' by Norm Foster is coming to St. Catharines from July 9-19, after its successful run at Port Stanley Festival Theatre. Directed by Liz Gilroy, Artistic Director at Port Stanley, it stars Foster Festival favourites, Claire Jullien ('A Niagara Christmas Carol,' 'Screwball Comedy') and Darren Keay ('A Niagara Christmas Carol,' 'Hilda's Yard,' 'Halfway There'), and Caitlin Driscoll and Tyrone Savage, who are both making their Foster Festival debuts.

Playing at the Mandeville Theatre, Ridley College, 'The Long Weekend' is Foster at his finest: sharp, funny, and delightfully tangled. When two couples gather for what’s meant to be a relaxing getaway, secrets bubble, tensions simmer, and the results are explosively funny. It’s the classic comedy you know and love, served up with all the twists.

Rehearsals are in full swing, and our crew is hard at work transforming a winery into a theatre space for a coffee shop as we prepare to welcome audiences to the world premiere of 'The Bean' by Norm Foster, June 10-21, starring Kirsten Alter and Derek Ritschel.

The existing character of Sons & Daughters Winery is being adapted into an intimate performance venue by incorporating a small stage, flexible seating, and a welcoming café atmosphere.

The opening of The Foster Festival’s 11th season is fast approaching, and excitement recently ramped up as rehearsals for 'The Bean' officially got underway on Tuesday. As tradition dictates, the cast and creative team kicked things off with a read-through of the script. This new comedy from Norm Foster stars Kirsten Alter and Derek Ritschel.

But there’s more than just coffee brewing at 'The Bean'.
