The Africans & African Descendants Friendship Club of St. Albert (AADFC) is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Ahmad Kayode Sanni , a pioneer Vice President of AADFC, on being recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Seniors & Elders Award! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Ahmad has dedicated countless hours to strengthening our community through service, leadership, and advocacy. As Chairperson of the St. Albert and District Further Education Board, Chair of the Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert, former Chair of the Nigeria Canadian Association of Edmonton, and a founding leader of AADFC, he has consistently worked to create opportunities for learning, cultural enrichment, and community connection.

His passion for building inclusive communities has helped seniors, families, newcomers, and residents of all backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Through his vision, integrity, and collaborative spirit, Ahmad continues to leave a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

Beyond his many leadership roles, Ahmad is a devoted husband to Rasheedah and a proud father of four, embodying the true meaning of service above self. ❤️

🎉 What an amazing experience at the Rodeo Parade! 🎉

The Africans & African Descendants Friendship Club of St. Albert (AADFC) was proud to participate in this year’s parade, bringing the beauty, energy, and diversity of African and Afro-Caribbean cultures to the streets of our community 🌍✨

From colorful outfits 👗🪘 to dancing 💃🏾🕺🏾, music 🎶, smiles 😊, and community spirit ❤️ it was beautiful to see cultures coming together and celebrating diversity in St. Albert!

A huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers, dancers, families, youth, and supporters who represented AADFC with pride and excellence 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You are the heart of our community ❤️
