Hey all,

My name is Amber Layh,

I am a homegrown Teulon-ian moved to Russell 15 years ago with my Husband Travis, 2 Boys Levi and Tristen, our current fur babies Starla, Vader and our cat D.O.G.

I work @ Mcmunn & Yates Russell and am passionate about helping those in need. Animals and seniors are at the top of this list.

I am riding for Passion 4 Paws Rescue here in Russell.

Karly is trading her Ukrainian boots for cowboy boots and the dance floor for the plastic of the bull ring.

She may have mastered the hopak, but now we’re about to find out if she can master hanging onto an imaginary 1,500-pound animal with an attitude problem.

Karly will be riding for Yachminka Dance Ensemble to raise funds for the Costume Revitalization Project.

Fr. Jay is the local Ukrainian Catholic priest serving an area of over 15 parishes. He also serves as the team chaplain for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

In his spare time though, he loves to keep Ukrainian dancing; something he has done for over 20 years! Shortly after his arrival in Rossburn back in 2020, Fr. Jay joined the board of directors for the Vinok Ukrainian Dance Group. A year later, Fr. Jay started the first adult group with Vinok and has danced with and taught this group for the past three years. This year, Fr. Jay steps into the role of president for the Vinok board.

Fr. Jay was born and raised in Winnipeg and is married to his wife, Sophia. Together they have three kids, Ben, Gaby & Kassia.

Hello my name is Frankie and I’m from the beautiful valley of Shellmouth, I live in Shellmouth with my 3 dogs and a cat. I work with the Municipality of Russell Binscarth public works department.

I’m riding for a local girl by the name of Blake Davidson. Blake has a disorder called paediatric Autoimmune Neuropathychiatric Disorder Associated with streptocccal infection. (aka) Pandas.

Cali is no stranger to the mechanical bull, having taken home the championship title last year. After spending an entire year enjoying the bragging rights, she figured she’d probably be safe from having to prove herself again.

Unfortunately for her, her Papa Herb had other plans.

When he asked her to ride again this year in support of Silverton Community Centre, Cali didn’t have much choice but to defend her title. Silverton Community Centre is no stranger to Cali either, as she’s a regular at their annual Funspiel where she’s known to enjoy a rink burger (or five) and plenty of socials.

She may have already proven she can ride, but the real question is whether she can do it twice. Last year’s champion has returned—and she’s got a title to defend.
