Somewhere between a concert, a cabaret, and a nightmare, Chaos Ballad bears witness to the attempts of Samir Campaign, a sad and pathetic clown, to move forward in a world filled with terror—the terror of boredom and the boredom of terror. He opens the door to a universe littered with various objects and haunted by the memories and songs of Patsy Cline, who died in a plane crash in 1963. Absorbed in rehearsing a show that will never take place, he gradually sinks into an abyss of sadness and pulls the audience down with him. Oscillating between humour, despair, and grandeur, Chaos Ballad explores q***r existentialism, loneliness, and failure as reflections of experiences inherent to our humanity.
