Tidefold

A moment held between tides.

Where water folds into land, and time feels slower.

Painted through layers of place, process, and observation.

Great news!! 🦋❤️

Monarch butterflies are showing signs of a comeback this year 🦋

New reports from WWF-Mexico and partners found the eastern migratory monarch population increased by 64% compared to last winter, based on the area of forest they occupied in Mexico. Researchers also recorded a drop in forest degradation within their winter habitat, with fewer acres lost than the year before.

While monarch numbers still fluctuate and long-term declines remain a concern, these findings point to measurable progress from ongoing conservation efforts.

Low tide reveals its own sanctuary.

These moments of stillness blend the shoreline and memories seamlessly.

Made with locally sourced pigments, this piece embodies the layered beauty of Fundy’s tides and the rhythm that comes with them.

No luck. Just labour.

While everyone else is out chasing rainbows, this little guy’s out here grinding his own colours from stone.
No shortcuts. No magic pots of gold.

Just dust, determination… and a very strong work ethic.
Turns out the real treasure was the pigments we made along the way.

Deliveryyyyy! 🙌🥳

Excited that my recent order of came in. In addition to working with hand-processed earth pigments and acrylics, I really love bringing Fusion into my process for its smooth finish, durability, and beautiful colour range.
Love trying the different colors, as you can see many of them are well loved ❤️

Hey Fusion 👋 wanna sponsor an East Coast artist who literally grinds her own colours? 🤗🙏🏻

Working with natural earth pigments slows time down.

You can’t rush geology.
Every layer tells a story of place.
Paths taken, cliffs scaled, shores explored.

Messy, unpredictable… but worth it.

Work in progress from my Wild Fundy: Pigments of Place series.

Each colour begins out in the landscape before it ever reaches the canvas.

Hand-gathered stone and soil from the Fundy region are crushed, sifted, and layered into the work.
The land become part of the painting itself.

More to come. Follow along!
