Many devotees ask about the sesame oil lamp with black cloth placed at the Navagraha shrine. It represents Shani (Saturn)—the sesame lamp symbolizes steadiness and purification, while the black cloth signifies absorbing negativity and seeking balance.

Devotees may light the lamp and do 1, 3, or 9 pradakshinas around the Navagrahas (many do it on Saturdays) , praying for strength to overcome challenges and for positive planetary blessings—especially helpful during Saturn’s 7½-year transit (Sade Sati), though anyone may perform it. 🙏🪔

Rates & Spaces

Main Hall: $85 / hour
Classrooms: $25 / hour

Kitchen Rental $250 for 3 hours.

All food must be prepared on site; outside food is not permitted.

You may cook yourself or hire a chef.

Temple volunteers will cook if the event includes Annadaanam (food served to all temple devotees). Availability is limited.
