I decided to take some days off before I start being open every Saturday!

So, the store will be closed from June 27th- July 1st.

As we move into July, the store will be open every Saturday and dont forget that with our fiber socials in July and August, they will be from 4pm-8pm for more late night shopping with the downtown market!

Our Spring Tee MAL came to an end on Sunday and last night I drew names for the prizes!!

Our prize for anyone who started their project was interlocking stitch markers, tea cup needle stoppers and a $20 store credit. The grand prize draw for anyone who finished their project included a project bag, beautiful buttons and stitch markers generously donated by and a $30 store credit.

Some people got so close to finishing and some finished multiple projects!

Congrats to the winners!! I absolutely loved putting this on and seeing everyone's projects come to life! A huge thank you to everyone who joined!!

I managed to get 2 tees done and started a third but have not finished. The last picture is my alchemist tee that I am still working on.

Watch for more make-a-longs in the future! And let me know if you have suggestions for one 🥰

Have you heard about Chiaogoo's new quad needle tips!?

The needles are square to be more ergonomic for our hands especially if they tend to get sore while knitting.

You may question if these will change your gauge at all but I have heard people doing swatches to compare and their gauge does not change!

So if you are curious to try them out, I have the 4inch tips in 3 different sizes to try for now. (US 3, 4, and 5)

A slight change to hours for July and August!

No change for hours during the week, but the store will be open every Saturday in July and August. If there is ever a Saturday I need to close, I will post it online as sometimes life happens but that is the plan!

Also, starting in July, our fiber socials which are every second Thursday will now run from 4pm-8pm with the downtown market being on. So more time for evening shopping or bring a project to work on and meet some other fiber enthusiasts 🥰

** Please also notice that the store will be closed from Saturday June 27th to Wednesday July 1st. We will be back open Thursday July 2nd, 11-5pm and start the new hours too.

Let's talk socks!!!!

Some of you know that the only sock heel I do is the german short row heel because I found it easier to remember and do rather than the heel flap gusset with no picking up stitches!! And I always felt it fit my foot pretty good too but...I may have a new favorite heel.....

Check out the pattern "Vanilla is the new black" by Anneh Fletcher.

This heel fits more like the heel flap gusset but there is no picking up stitches and it looks so cool!!

Our bus trip to Olds has come and gone but it was a great day!

17 of us took the bus to Prairie Fibre Festival in Olds on the weekend. We shopped, we visited, we crafted, and shopped some more!

Thank you Lori and all the others that help put on an amazing event! As always, I look forward to the one in Lacombe in September. There won't be a bus for that one but check out their page for more information on the next festival in Spetember!


And a huge thank you to all that joined on this adventure that day! It really fills my heart to see us be able to gather in that way and share our love of Fibre with others! 💖
