Ready for a colorful new project inspired by Hilma af Klint? 🎨🌈

In May, we’ll be exploring bold colours, symmetry, and shapes by creating our very own colour wheels, just like the vibrant, spiritual-inspired works she’s known for!

Fun fact: Hilma af Klint was one of the first abstract artists in the world, even before it became popular, and many of her paintings were inspired by nature, science, and unseen energies!

Hungry for more art inspired by Eric Carle? 🐛🎨

In April, we’ll be exploring the magical theme of metamorphosis~ just like the journey from a tiny caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly! 🦋

Fun fact: Eric Carle created his signature illustrations by painting colorful tissue papers and then cutting and layering them into collages. That’s why his artwork looks so vibrant and textured!

Who’s feeling hungry like a little caterpillar 🐛? After seeing this little masterpiece, we sure are!

A did such an amazing job creating this mixed media ramen bowl during this month’s Hungry Hungry Me theme in our Weekly Classes. 🍜🎨

Let’s welcome March with color, curiosity, and a BIG appetite for creativity 🐛🍎✨

Next month’s Weekly Class theme is Hungry Hungry Me, inspired by the playful storytelling and vibrant collage style of Eric Carle. Our artists will explore texture, pattern, and storytelling while creating their own growing, munching masterpieces!

Fun fact: The Very Hungry Caterpillar was illustrated using hand-painted papers that were cut and layered into collage ~ a technique our students will experiment with too 🥹
