Hi to RCC members who visit this page regularly … yawn. Pretty boring I'd say, waiting for me to post something. To change that I have started a new RCC page which allows it's members to post things of curling interest without waiting for me. To find this new Richmond Curling Club page enter "Richmond Curling Club" in the search area (left of the magnifying symbol) and request to join the page with the curling sheets picture. Once approved you are free to post.

What a fun event for all who came out to curl and support the Ends for an End to Cancer. Big shout out to all the curling teams who raised funds and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly all day in the kitchen, selling raffle tickets and silent auction. The total raised by this Bonspiel over 8 years is just short of $200k. All funds go to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. A big thank you for all the donations from individuals and from businesses in the communities of Richmond, Kanata, Barrhaven and surrounding area. Warren's Daffy-Dils, skipped by Shirley Reddick were the winning team and the Pink Flamingos took home the green jackets for raising the most in team donations. Thank you and congratulations to all.

Eight teams had RCC youth curlers on them at this event.

RCC’s ice maker, Terri Suffel, celebrated 40 years of service and dedication to our club on Monday. Festivities included presentation of a plaque by Club President, Matt Bulmer and a beautiful painting prepared and presented by one of our members, Debbie Cunningham. Shirley Reddick and Herb O’Heron shared some stories and best wishes. Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS Terri!”
