Juvelisto Design opened in Steveston, B.C. in March of 2011 and has been a destination shop ever since. It is a charming gallery where you will find creative and one-of -a-kind jewellery made by over 25 local, national and internationa

l jewellery artists. The gallery owner, Sasha Shkolnik, also presents her own gold, silver and bronze collections in store. The variety of styles, techniques and jewellery media at Juvelisto is unlimited and you can truly find something for everyone at Juvelisto. This is the place for the locals of Steveston to get unique gifts for any occasion or treat themselves to something very special – all the while supporting their local economy. Steveston draws many visitors from all over the world and they so often chose Juvelisto for that unique, local, handmade souvenir. Juvelisto offers a wonderful jewellery shopping experience with friendly and experienced staff that are willing to assist you in any way and tell you about the artist who created your chosen piece, their technique and the materials they used! We all relate to our jewellery in a certain way. Some love the sparkle of their diamonds, some appreciate attractiveness of extraordinary designs, some are fascinated by the power of natural coloured gemstones, others hold jewellery dear because of its sentiment but for most of us our jewels are an expression of our personality and taste. When Sasha designs jewellery for a client, she feels as though she has the power of being a translator of people’s feelings, a magician to create someone’s vision in a piece of metal and a psychic who’s trying to unlock their personalities and free their desires. Jewellery speaks but only one language and it’s that of beauty.

Some stories deserve more than words.

This custom ring is one of the most challenging projects we've ever created.

The client was based in the United States and had many local options, yet chose to collaborate with us after discovering our work. That level of trust meant everything.

The ring tells a biblical story through a continuous relief carved around the entire band. Every scene, every figure, and every symbol was carefully designed to flow seamlessly into the next, creating a wearable narrative that can be explored from every angle.

The level of detail was so fine that the model had to be carved rather than printed, allowing us to achieve the precision needed for such intricate storytelling.

Projects like this demand countless hours of design, sculpting, refinement, and craftsmanship. The goal wasn't simply to make a ring, it was to transform faith, history, and personal meaning into something that could be worn every day.

Designed for a client who wanted something bold, distinctive, and impossible to mistake for anything off the shelf, this custom ring features a fantasy-cut amethyst wrapped in flowing ribbons of gold and diamonds.

The gemstone wasn't chosen from a catalogue. It was selected from our collection and became the starting point for a piece built around its colour, shape, and character.

That's one of our favourite parts of the design process. Sometimes the perfect gemstone finds its person before the design even exists.

This Ethiopian opal feels like a small piece of landscape, uneven, glowing, full of movement. We left its natural outline intact, not polished into symmetry or forced into a standard setting. Gold follows every edge, holding the stone as it is, while a line of diamonds above brings a measured contrast.
