Sharing some bowls I made last summer, that I photographed and never shared (along with most of the pieces I’ve made this past year).

My personal account and pots have taken a backseat this past year while I focused all my energy on moving and growing . I’ve still been making quite a few pieces and some things I’ve felt truly excited about.

My work has evolved a lot behind the scenes this past year or so. I’ve become way more interested in simple forms, and simple every day objects. Colourful still (hopefully always) but a bit more understated. Things that just look good on a shelf or something.

As I travel home to my beloved studio after a long trip away - healing a knee away from the hefty revelstoke winter, I’m setting new intentions and revisiting work.

I’m excited to share more! Hope you’re taking care 💜

An outdoor mug (my current favourite) and some summer snaps.

I often find myself wishing I took more pics to remember all the people and things that made the time special, but I love living with my phone in my pocket. 💜

This summer I was most appreciative of my left knee, my family, seeing my home through all the seasons for the first time, cold dips with hot friends and being an adaptable human being. Luv u and thank u to everyone who made these months special and listened to me while I adapt to new things. 😌 happy autumn friends!

Ps I am very much wearing hats and fleece now.

Some wild new melty cups. Happy, silly.

I love that edge of happy discomfort. Like these smiles are mostly happy but also melting into distortion that feels very relatable especially with some world context. And maybe the message in words is, as it usually is, I’d like to remain optimistic.

Sending love! 💜

Hi! I’ll be back at the this weekend with some new work including some of these painted tree mugs. 😌

This design came about through my month of trying new things every day and is done with the inspiration of a sort of traditional under painting.

What I plant grows 🌷

A hopeful speckled clay mug. Different from my usual and fun! I’ve been loving working with this clay! Fun to throw and experiment with something different.

For the first time in many years I’m not tree planting this week! The world is so in bloom and it’s so inspiring and I’m loving all the smells and colours. I’m trying to grow new things and this is my new favourite affirmation haha. 🌷💜

I recently had the magical yet scary experience of having my photo taken in one of my very favourite places by the very talented 🙂

When the photos arrived my jaw dropped, it was a beautiful experience to see my craft through someone else’s eyes. Katie, thank you for making me comfortable in front of a camera and for loving my space as much as I do! ❤️

I’ve also been so rarely posting on here this year, so I’ll also take this opportunity to say hey, I’m Kaisa. I run this little pottery studio in revelstoke, bc, where these days I mostly teach people about clay! I also love love love making things and sell my work locally and across canada. I live in a tiny house and love moving around and exploring the land around me!

Thanks for being here ☀️
