To Our Cherished Community,

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we announce the closure of our gallery on March 8th, 2025. After 15 incredible years, we’ve decided it’s time to move on to new adventures and embrace the changing art landscape here in Revelstoke.

As we prepare to close the gallery, we are filled with bittersweet emotions. While it is difficult to say goodbye, we are also excited for what lies ahead. It has been an honour to serve as a platform for talented artists to contribute to this vibrant arts scene.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the artists who have entrusted us with their work and allowed us to showcase their incredible talents. Your passion, creativity and dedication have inspired us every day. We are proud of the community that has formed within these walls. We would also like to thank all of our clients near and far who supported this gallery and its artists for over a decade.

For those who still hold gift cards from our gallery, we kindly remind you to redeem them before March 7th, 2025. We want to ensure that your support is not forgotten and that you have the opportunity to bring a piece of our gallery into your home.

While we may be saying goodbye to our physical space, we will always carry with us the memories and connections made through art. Thank you for being part of our journey and supporting us along the way.

Sincerely,

Ariel and Shea on behalf of Art First Gallery

Welcome to the gallery .wilson.art 🎨✨

We are happy to announce that we now carry work by Abby Wilson.

“Abby Wilson is an artist, author, and adventurer. She lives in the West Kootenay mountains of British Columbia on the traditional territories of the Sinixt, the Syilx, and the Ktunaxa peoples.

Abby’s paintings capture her love of the mountains with bright, bold acrylic landscapes. Her work explores how geometry aligns with natural geology, pushing on shape and line to stylize the world.

Abby is an Associate Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). Abby combines art and adventure with plein air painting- hiking studies down from the mountains into her home studio. Abby’s work is held in private collections in Canada, the US, and Europe. “ - taken from artist’s website.

We have all of these originals available in the gallery along with greeting cards, backcountry bandanas and mini originals.
1. ‘Backcountry Beargrass’ 18x24”
2. ‘Pursuing Other Interests’ 36x24”
3. ‘Hansella’ 18x24”
4. ‘Tumbling Glacier’ 30x30”

Come and see these beautiful and vibrant pieces in person.

🎨 Artist feature for our upcoming event.
Claire Dibble

“Claire Dibble is a project-based artist, photographer, and writer based in Golden, BC. Place is important to Claire, and she feels connected to several previous stomping grounds, including the coast of Maine, Chile, the Tetons, and Kauai. Travel, adventure, and exploring new parts are the things that get her going.

Claire paddled the length of the Columbia River in 2019, kayaking from source to sea in a self-made kayak over a period of 3.5 months as part of her Watershed Moments project.

The stories that most capture Claire’s attention are full of good. They speak of hope, inspiration, innovation, and simple living. They highlight the grand potential inside people, businesses, and organizations. They are the stories that foster connection. “

We have a large collection of works from Claire’s various series such as ‘Few Are The Giants’, ‘Stilled Waters’ and ‘Arctic Outflow’. Attend our event to hear more about these projects, Claire’s process and stories about her journeys as an artist.
