INTRODUCING: JOSH C. AKA JERIKO at BLUE DOOR RECORDING® 🎙️

Josh is the newest addition to Blue Door’s engineer roster. His production work spans a variety of genres, including pop, indie, electronic, R&B, and country, while also specializing in cinematic scoring.

He is a graduate of the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART), and his scoring work has contributed to short films screening on IMAX, as well as being nominated at the Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards and the Living Skies Film Festival.

Under his producer alias, Jeriko, Josh focuses on a technical approach to creativity, guided by the philosophy, “Know the rules so well that you can break them.”

MELODNA is the Queen City’s Zambian-Canadian award-winning rapper and singer. Her sound blends elements of hip-hop, rap, R&B, and Afrobeats, and she has been recording at BDR since 2020.

Following nominations for R&B Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards (SMAs) and Rap & Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMAs), she took home Afrobeats Artist of the Year at last year’s SMAs.

She has performed at festivals across Canada, including Canadian Music Week (Toronto, ON), Sled Island (Calgary, AB), BreakOut West (Winnipeg, MB), and Regina Folk Festival (Regina, SK), and has opened for Canadian artists such as Begonia and Lido Pimienta.

Congratulations to Back Seat Driver on the release of their first single, The Mountain! And Wow! Over 3,000 views on you tube in the first couple days! The live off the floor Video was shot and recorded at Blue Door during the blitz a few months ago, and their released streaming version was also recorded and mixed at Blue Door!
