With Pride celebrates the work of artists from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community represented in the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery’s Permanent Collection through works donated by Doug Townsend. The exhibition honours Doug’s lasting impact as a champion for artists in Saskatchewan — through his work as Visual Arts Consultant at the Saskatchewan Arts Board, his role as a collector, and his own practice as a 2SLGBTQIA+ visual artist.

UPDATE: The motion was defeated!

Saskatoon City Council has defeated the motion to remove the Civic Capital Project Public Art Funding Stream.

Following the lunch break, additional motions will be brought forward to review the existing public art funding policy. We’ll be following the discussion closely and will share our response shortly.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up, shared information, and advocated for public art in Saskatoon!
