What a Night!

On May 26, we gathered on stage at Darke Hall for A Toast to the Season—an evening of celebration, reflection, and excitement for what lies ahead.

We were thrilled to welcome so many of our super fans, Friends of Darke Hall, donors, sponsors, community partners and supporters who have helped make this season such a success. As our first full season as a charity comes to a close, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate everything we've accomplished together and look ahead to the exciting year to come.

Hosted by Megan McCormick, Darke Hall's Director of Engagement, the evening featured a special appearance by Queen City Improvement Bureau's Paul and Aidan, who brought their signature humour and curiosity to a live interview with Darke Hall's Artistic Producer, Dawn Bergstrom. Together, they explored the stories, ideas, and inspiration behind our newly announced 2026/27 Darke Hall Presents season.

A heartfelt thank you to our event partners:
- Wascana Flower Shoppe for the beautiful floral arrangements
- Safe Cafe for the delicious refreshments
- Strategy Lab for the amazing thank you video
- The Lorne & Evelyn Johnson Foundation for support of our videos and website
- Chris Graham Photography for capturing the evening

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us for the season. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and belief in Darke Hall continue to shape what this historic space can be.

Stories from the Hall 📚📢

There’s more to Darke Hall than what happens on stage.

We’re starting a new series where we share articles, ideas, and voices that connect us more deeply to this place and the people who have shaped it.

We’re kicking things off with two pieces from our friend Kenton de Jong, who takes a closer look at the history—and a few mysteries—behind the Hall:

What’s Old Is New Again at Darke Hall

Whether you’ve been coming here for years or are just getting to know the space, these stories offer a new way to see it.
