Symbols in my painting? Yes, there are themes and common elements. I typically portray of forests and trails using light and colour. I love the forest – it’s my happy place. I want to bring you deeper to explore the woods, or unknown. As you move through the painting, the light welcomes you offering some kind of optimism or hope.
“Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit.” —Frank Borman

My favourite luxury spot in my studio is this cozy saucer chair. This is the second version because the last one was loved to death. Why would I wear out a chair in my studio? Let me tell you…
This is where I:
- Sip my morning coffee to plan my studio time.
- Ponder the painting on the easel.
- Sketch out potential compositions.
- Post on social media.
- Contemplate sources for the pieces not even started yet.
- Have a snack to energize.
- Rest between tasks.
An artist does so much more than physically paint all the time!
