📚🚲 Introducing the 1st Annual Books for Bikes Summer Reading Program! 🚲📚

Hordos Insurance Brokers is proud to partner with Red River Mutual and South Shore School to help keep students reading all summer long!

This summer, students enrolled at South Shore School during the 2025–2026 school year can earn a chance to win one of 8 bicycles simply by building a daily reading habit.

The bikes will be awarded to students who will be entering Grades 1–8 this fall, with one bicycle awarded per grade.

Here’s how it works:

📖 Read for at least 20 minutes each day throughout July and August

📝 Track your reading using the official Books for Bikes reading log (the official reading tracker will be sent home through the school before summer break or can be found by visiting www.hibi.ca)

📤 Submit your completed tracker when school resumes in September

🚲 Be entered to win a bicycle!

At Hordos Insurance Brokers, we believe strong communities are built through education, opportunity, and supporting local families. We’re excited to help encourage a love of reading while giving students a fun goal to work toward this summer.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone in our community for the incredible generosity shown during the clothing drive. Your donations, big and small, will make a real difference for families who need it most. It’s moments like this that remind me why small-town communities are truly special — when someone needs a hand, everyone shows up.

A huge shout-out to Centre Street Suites for giving Kayla a safe and comfortable place to stay last night. After working late, she didn’t have to make the drive back to Regina, and that kindness means more than words can say!

All extra garments will be donated to the Al Ritchie Community Association next week, ensuring they continue to help those who need them most. If you, or anyone you know, needs winter gear please let us know and we can arrange pick up early next week.

Thank you all for your support, your compassion, and for being the kind of community that cares deeply for one another! We’re grateful for every single one of you!
