Donna Y is a multi-media artist with a background in pottery, sculpture, acrylic, and sketching, followed by acrylic painting, computer graphics, photo editing, and photo styling, among many other mediums. Since moving to the West of this country from Ontario, she has taken to taking adventure hikes, always with a camera in hand to take photos of what will eventually become paintings. "It is very fulfilling to look at the new landscapes she is discovering in ways that will eventually become a piece of art. The photos themselves are also a work of art because of their composition and concentration on the subjects most people would take for granted as they pass by. Recently, she has been sculpting mushrooms for her fairy landscape logs, which use materials available in the woods, where she often walks. These magical landscapes make great centrepieces for tables or accents in bedrooms or bathrooms. He has been refining his skills most of his life, although he has had to take a break from it occasionally because other demands have taken up his time. Today as he heads towards retirement from his day jobs, he has more time to devote to his passion of art and creation. He has a love for woodworking, which has resurfaced again in his life; you never know. You may find some of that work here and available for sale. We are offering paint nites in our home studio to give those in the area something to do that is out of the ordinary, where we can share our love for creativity with others.
