KV PLAYERS ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR 2026 SEASON
Welcome to the KV Players 2026 Season!
We are pleased to announce that the KV Players will be performing two award winning Broadway shows this season.
In July, we will be a presenting The Drowsy Chaperone. This classic comedy is set against the backdrop of a society wedding in the 1920s.
A lonely narrator, called the Man in the Chair, escapes his dreary life by listening to his favourite Broadway Show, The Drowsy Chaperone. Soon the characters spring to life in the show within a show. The plot features two lovers, a bumbling best man, a desperate producer and the ingenue he is pursuing, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, an aviatrix, a misguided Don Juan, and an intoxicated chaperone.
It is curtain to curtain fun and is designed to entertain all audiences. To make it even more special, it is a Canadian show that debuted at Fringe in 1998. It went on to be performed on Broadway and won five Tony Awards.
Our second show of the season will be one of our favourites, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
This memorable Andrew Lloyd Webber show has played all over the globe and has even had a residency in Las Vegas with everyone’s favourite Joseph, Donnie Osmond. The show features Joseph, his father Jacob, his eleven brothers, a storytelling narrator, and a Pharoah that resembles the King of Rock and Roll-Elvis. This biblical tale time travels to a western saloon, a café in Paris, and a tropical setting for a calypso. It features memorable music, great dancing, creative costuming, and even a children’s choir. This show has always charmed audiences and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Tickets will go on sale for both shows on May 1, 2026.
