In an effort to educate I have been putting a lot of thought into a comment that a friend of mine made the other day. People call a DJ and make their selections almost completely based on pricing, usually settling for the lowest offer and then are confused and outraged when their party is not a successful as they had envisioned.

Now if you call a caterer and tell them you need food for your party that you want the cheapest they can bring. What do you suppose you would get? Would your guests be dining on buttered crackers? Popcorn? Peanut butter and jelly?

I guess the point that I'm trying to make is there are so many things to consider when you hire an entertainer for an event. Just as there is a difference in price between a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a steak sandwich, there is also a huge difference in the spectrum of entertainers available.
