JOB POSTING: Groundskeeper (Contract Position – 2026/2027)
Contract Term: June 1 – September 30, 2026, Position Type: Seasonal Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and self motivated Groundkeeper for the 2026 season. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all park and facility grounds. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and comfort operating outdoor maintenance equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain all machinery and equipment in good working condition
• Purchase fuel as needed for equipment
• Cut grass and perform w**d trimming across all grassy areas, ditches, and the highway sign area
• Mow and harrow fields as required
• Clean and maintain picnic tables
• Keep all maintenance sheds organized and tidy
• Inspect grounds regularly and ensure the park remains clean and welcoming
• Remove debris from the parking lot and treed areas
Qualifications
• Experience with lawn care equipment (mowers, trimmers, harrows)
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
Contract Details
• Seasonal contract: June 1 – September 30, 2026
• Hours may vary depending on weather and maintenance needs
• Compensation: To be discussed]
