[FR] BIO

APPROACH
The space between things
My artistic practice is a quest for the invisible, an attempt to give substance to that which eludes conventional language. Whether I use performance, drawing, painting or installation, my work consists of ‘scratching the surface’ of reality to reveal the underlying layers and multiplicity of what is.
At the heart of my thinking lies the notion of paradox. I work on the idea that nothing exists without its opposite: absence becomes a form of presence, and the boundary, far from being a hermetic limit, becomes a meeting point. My research aims to break down the impermeability of the ‘boxes’ and social or identity labels in which we evolve.
In recent years, my performance art practice has shifted towards a more synthetic and minimalist form. Since 2019, I have developed a protocol in which performative action is often confronted with spoken text, narrative, or the enunciation of facts. My intention is not to tell a story, but to experiment with the space between image, action, and word. It is this space between things that interests me.
Painting and drawing feed this research through a particular attention to detail and the poetry of everyday life. These mediums allow me to capture the fleeting nature of reality, to transform absence into presence or vice versa, and to summon or suggest what is not visible.
The aim of my work is to disrupt the comfort of the known and the recognised. I create spaces, moments and actions that allow the viewer or participant to blur the boundaries of what is defined.
