I’m reviving something I abandoned.

Last year I built It’s Not Therapy, But… — a monthly creative processing practice for neurodivergent folks who need to put their chaos somewhere.

Then I let it fade while everything else got loud.

But I never stopped doing the work. Every month I’ve been making art to process what therapy can’t reach.

And standing here now — about to move into my own space, ending an 18-year marriage, learning French, writing a memoir — I realize this practice is the only reason I’m still functional.

So I’m bringing it back.

Not polished. Just my actual practice you can join.
- One monthly creative prompt for emotional processing
-Optional somatic practices & reflection questions
-Low-key Discord community
-Permission to show up messy, incomplete, or not at all

This isn’t about making pretty things or being good at art. It’s about having a structure that says “here’s a way to put it all somewhere” when your brain is too full.

$7/month or $70/year
First prompt drops Feb 1st: “What Is Mine to Hold?”

Link in bio or DM me for details.

I’m doing this either way.

I abandoned a project last year. It's the only thing keeping me functional right now.

So I'm bringing it back.

In 2025, I launched It's Not Therapy, But... — a monthly creative processing practice for neurodivergent folks who need to put their chaos somewhere. I built it, used it, then quietly let it fade while life got loud.

But I never stopped doing the actual work. Every month, I kept making prompts for myself. Using art to process what therapy couldn't reach. And now — standing in the middle of ending an 18-year marriage, moving into my own space, learning French, writing a memoir about breaking generational patterns — I realized something:

This practice is the only reason I'm still standing.
It's not about making pretty things. It's about having somewhere to put it all when your brain is too full.

One monthly creative prompt. Optional somatic practices. A low-key Discord space. Zero pressure to finish, share, or be good at art.

Just a structure that says "here's a way through" when you're overwhelmed, blocked, or rebuilding your entire life.

I'm doing this for me because I need it. If you need it too, you can join.

First prompt drops February 1st: "What Is Mine to Hold?"

This painting is from earlier this year—created collaboratively at a friend’s birthday party, we called it ‘A Room of Her Own.’

On New Year’s Eve, I performed a piece in this room about French verb tenses while guests painted on a new canvas. (Yes, really.)

Passé composé: completed actions. Last week I looked at apartments (j’ai regardé), sent 40,000 words to an editor (j’ai envoyé), sobbed into my pillow (j’ai pleuré).

Futur proche: immediate future. This year I’m moving (je vais déménager), finishing this book (je vais finir), creating my own room (je vais créer).

Turns out the grammar of endings is also the grammar of seeds.

Happy New Year, everyone.
